Steak and Shake is gone. It’s no longer a diner. You do everything but cook now. Quality is down to just above what would get you shut down. Fries are pretty horrible now. Kid got a milkshake and didn’t even drink half of it. Everyone hides in the back. Don’t even think of going there within 2 hours of closing, they seem to stop taking care of anything. This new version of S&S is garbage.

There's no reason to dine in because you have to order on a kiosk and you can't order what you want cuz it only shows you pictures of what you can order. You have to drive through in order to get what you want. And their milkshakes are all processed pre-mixed and sent through a machine so gross.

The place is empty. Two hamburgers are being cooked on the grill by the cook. Nobody else visible at the counter. So I asked the cook, how can I buy some cans of chili? The cook says it's on the kiosk. So I go to the kiosk and I look under chili. There's no can of chili under the heading "Fries and Chili". I search other areas of the menu and cannot find a can of chili. So I said to the cook, I can't find the chili in a can on the kiosk. So the cook yells to the back for help. The person who came to do it, walked out there like there was a fire and hit the kiosk really quick and then disappeared back behind the counter. So I asked where did you find that? Nobody would answer me. It went back to just me and the kiosk and the cook. So I went to a different kiosk and after some time of searching, I found a can of chili under ..shop!!! Who would have suspected there were food items under the word shop. You would think that would be the place where you would have hats and shirts and things of that nature. You know what I'm saying, merchandise. Not food!! To the person who came out with an attitude, I hope you never have anything more important to do than point out where the chili is.... Because you can't handle it!

One word......GREASY! The floors The tables The windows.... Everything you could see was GREASY! The floors were like walking on sticky paper. One dedicated mop and bucket for the kitchen, one dedicated mop and bucket for the dining area. Same for the cleaning towels. Just terrible management to let customers in a restaurant in the state it was. Just disgusting!

It was a bit weird. We had to order on a kiosk. There was a cash here there. Are service person whatever you want to call them? Everything is basically automated. You have to have AQ. R code to get your sodas now. And that's weird the food wasn't the greatest.

My family and I have eaten at this location a few times over the last few months after needing car repairs nextdoor and it's been enjoyable every time. The kiosks inside don't allow for a lot of customer service interaction, but the same gentleman making the burgers consistently greets us and the other employees are always moving- cleaning tables and such. Food comes out hot and delish. I don't eat a lot of fast food and hadn't had Steak n Shake in over a decade, but our experience at this location keeps us coming back.

Fries was decent, shake was ok, but this restaurant was absolutely filthy. The touch screens haven’t been wiped down, everything in the restaurant was greasy, including the tables and several of them were still dirty! The womens bathroom had no working soap and no toilet paper ! ((How are employees washing their hands?))

I got there before 11:40 and the drive thru is announcing that it's closed? Meanwhile there's other cars receiving their food and the girl with the pink hair is just standing there like dude I just wanted a single cheeseburger
Good food, but lost the heart and soul of what Steak and Shake was. High prices (Almost $50 for a family of 4 no drinks) and nice employees but not what it was.

Unbelievable! My grandson wanted an order from Steak n Shake (he's in High School) so I gave him money and sent him in. His order was time stamped for 12:41PM. After about 25 minutes I went inside to check on the delay. The female manager apologized, said they were short staff and said that they would complete it as soon as possible. I thanked her and said it's ok. I returned to my car and after another 25 minutes I went back in to find people that I saw going in during the last 15-20 minutes eating. I confronted the manager and said that it was outrageous they she took orders and delivered meals to people who arrived more than a half hour after taking my grandson's order and money. She referred me to a male manager who had come in several minutes prior and who was busy flipping burgers. I spoke with him. He was clearly flustered with the circumstances and said that they would cook the order right away or that we could get a refund. I said the issue isn't the delay, the issue is that you bypassed our order and cooked other orders even after I came in about a half hour earlier and was ensured by the female manager that it would be done as soon as possible. He said that we could argue or that he could get the order cooked. Let that sink in, zero acknowledgement that they took our order and money and then bypassed fulfilling it EVEN after I spoke with a female manager.
The order was completed 1hr and 1 minute after having been paid for (1 order chicken tenders and 1 order fries).
This is not about waiting, this is not about short staffing. This is about integrity and both managers utter lack thereof. A simple acknowledgement that they messed up was all that was needed. That was beyond them. They both kept apologizing without any agreement that our order was set aside and not even addressed when we had waited a half hour.
This location does NOT deserve the public's business. Very sad.

We live 3 minutes away from this steak ‘n shake, my car reported that we were there for thirty minutes…. for drive thru. The lady with pink hair carelessly carried our milkshakes to us with her shirt almost inside our cups and was absolutely so rude, it ruined the excitement for our dinner. To top it all off, the food was already getting cold and the milkshakes and food taste horrible AND we were missing items. Don’t know what we did or said to you guys for this to happen but thanks for a ruined experience.
