Wish I could visit more often, heard a couple years ago they were coming to Orlando, I'm waiting! Much love TacoBus. 2024 update, I’m still waiting for the Orlando spot!!

Vegetarian options: Vegan meat and cheese options, mostly vegetarian leaning for certain. Always go home Vegan for a true vegan experience but nonetheless a good spot for a lighter meal for those who aren’t appropriating veganism.

I just pulled up Google directions to your place while in Tampa off of Hillsboro and when I pulled into the parking lot, the sign says open by the door but then in handwriting, it says temporary crows for a remodeling. Can you guys please update Google maps so it shows you are closed currently. ✌?

This used to be my favorite place to eat since the new owners took over the quality of the food went all the way downhill I'm guessing the only business strategy they had was to rip off the existing customers of the once amazing restaurant by cutting every corner possible. I now drive all the way to Lutz to get that good taco bus!

❌️ Worst experience I've ever had working here. New management we had threw that place to the ground. Food lost its authentic taco bus touch. Boss was very demeaning and homophobic, racist at that. I'd never work in this franchise again if i saw myself struggling to live and pay bills. And even worse they lied to the staff about renovations leaving everyone working there without a job on such short notice.Totally unprofessional and not a good environment ❌️

Cashier was nasty to me and my family from the moment we approached the counter. Was curt, and acted as though our order was a great burden to her personally. The order was wrong and items were missing when we received it.Large queso does not come with chips, unless ordered as an upcharge.Soda machine was not working, and lights in the restroom were also broken.Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

If I could give negative stars, I would. We were excited to try the original location so much so that we drove by the downtown location to come here 20-30 minutes out of the way. When we arrived, the lady with a blondish ponytail and glasses asked if we were ready to order. We ordered two quesadillas, one without cabbage and tomatoes, and one regular quesadilla. The lady was irritated that we did not want tomatoes or cabbage on one of the quesadillas, thus we asked her if it was allowed to modify. She asked us, again, what we wanted on the quesadilla. We said, "Just chicken and cheese." She repeated it, then rolled her eyes. We asked for a large queso, and she was irritated about that. We asked for two other dishes, yet she said she was out of them.Fountain drinks were out of order, thus the only choices were bottled Coca-Cola and bottled water. My son went to the restroom, and the light did not work...in a bathroom without windows. He went to the bathroom, and washed his hands in the dark. Our food arrived in six togos, all bagged up for us to leave, yet we told her "dine in" during her order taking. Fine. No biggie. When we opened the quesadillas, they both had cabbage and tomatoes. Neither had sour cream or guac. My son said, "Please, don't ask that lady to fix it. She is already mad about something." Fine.We looked for the queso, yet it was not in the to-go bags. We asked the lady for our queso, and she said, "It is in the bag!" We showed her it was, in fact, not in the bag, and she stormed off to the kitchen. She came back with our large container of cheese dip, and shoved it into my husband's hands. My husband said, "Thank you. Could we have chips, please?" The employee looked at him, and said, "For what??" My husband said, "For our large queso, please." The employee then said, "You did not order chips!!!" OH. My. Gosh!! What is wrong with this employee? Large queso does not come with chips??? My husband was so irritated, by this point, that he threw the queso in the trash, and said, "Forget it". The employee then looked at my husband, and said, "Well, I was going to go get you some chips." Oh my gosh. What is happening? My husband sat down, and the employee proceeded to walk by our table, a dozen times, and gave us a scowl every time. Not sure what was wrong with this employee, yet she does not need to be working in FOH, if she loathes people and interacting with them. Maybe she can be the chip fryer instead?

Eh its okay like you have to watch them to make sure they make the order correctly because staff is either careless or messing it up to mess with people. Haven't figured that out yet.

Food was delicious, however this location no longer serves the marinated shredded pork as a protein. This ancient Mayan recipe was a staple of the original Taco Bus in Tampa, without it this location is a pale comparison & a disappointment to the Taco Bus group of restaurants. When I asked why it was no longer an option on the menu I was told it was due to the owner's religious beliefs. I will not eat at an establishment that restricts their services due to religion.Reason for lack of pork, cited by the owner's reply, stated that pork was pulled from the menu "to cater to the diverse dietary preferences among our customers". I know smoke being blown when I see it. Not 1 pork option but 4 or 5 vegan/vegetarian options. Also, prior to leaving I scanned the QR for the menu & the Mayan pork was still listed. I will continue to take my business elsewhere.

Used to be a Tampa staple not sure if new ownership or what happened at this location. I always order a fish burrito with chips and queso however today it felt like a whole different entree. The chips tasted weird, the queso flavorless, the tortilla tastes different and the burrito had 1small piece of fish even though it’s an extra 2$. The atmosphere is unwelcoming. There is no music, no people, the guy at the front didn’t even look up from his phone to take our order at the counter. Won’t be returning to this location.
