We visit ballast point often and finally tried this place out, it’s been a must at each visit since. Their fish and chips are mine and my husbands favorite and each one of their soups are equally delicious! We just recently tried their ice which did not disappoint!! There’s free parking and designated restaurant parking, great views of Tampa, and a nice dock to walk down before or after your meal. We can’t wait to come back!

If you are color of skin and want to order ice cream there is an older white women waitress that will ignore you and keep taking tables also while your waiting she will keep taking orders at the main register. This is the second time this has happened to me. She will just keep you waiting and waiting. I did not feel welcomed at all by her.

Great find. We had the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were prepared perfectly. My wife had the hot lobster roll and I the cold. Both were delicious. The rolls were nicely toasted. Lobster was plentiful and tasty. The fries were great. Very crispy. Service was slow due to being very busy. It just gave us more time to enjoy the lovely view. I think the word is out.

Great vibe and view. The water is beautiful, weather is perfect and people are fishing off of the pier. What a great time.

Moved to Florida from New England 5 years ago. This place has the best seafood I've had since I've lived here! Amazing area, staff and food!

Small place with decent food built into the same building that houses the restrooms of a public park. In other words, it was a surprisingly relaxed eatery for an unassuming location. Just hope you don't need to use the facilities while you're there. ?

Ultimate price gouging. Will absolutely not go back. $3.50 for a 20 oz bottle of life water. What a joke!!!! Lost my business forever.

Best kept secret in South Tampa. We were enjoying the walking path and pier at Ballast Point Park, decided to get lunch. I order a lobster roll, sweet potato fries, and an Arnold Palmer. The lobster roll was fantastic. It was literally lobster and mayo, plus some seasonings. Wonderful. The Arnold Palmer was the best I ever had, seriously. Fries were great. Love this place

I went during lunch, and I wish I would've got the waitresses name. I believe she is the owner. She was tall, blondish, hair, older. I don't understand why she was so rude? She handed the menus and then took forever to take the order. They were slow too! The other server with black hair was so nice wish we had her. Our waitress never asked how our food was. Literally the most unfriendly waitress we ever had. We left cash in the check, and she had the nerve to not even bring the change back to assume that we were letting her keep! Welet it ride and would have added more! As far as the food, some of their prices are high-end like $30 for a lobster roll, which is very small and pretty underwhelming. Food was satisfactory though. It is a beautiful view. I would bring food and eat it by the water. I came with 3 other people for lunch and our bill was very high over 125.00 and for sitting on a metal table with plastic forks and paper plates. I'll pass on this place. If you can't be nicer to your customers you have no business in hospitality.

I have been going to The Taste of Boston since it was first opened. I knew the original owners. Now, it's been brought by new owners for a while now. They have superior food, excellent service, a menu with a lot of selection, great prices, and a great view of the bay, in Tampa Bay. The staff is friendly, and prompt to deliver the food. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a relaxing time near the bay. I wanted to add that they are also pet friendly.

Great food with beautiful views! Entree's can get a little pricey depending on what you get, but it is very good. Casual dining with a park and splash pad attached.Parking: Parking is free but due to the splash pad and playground, plus the pier and bay front, it can be difficult to find a space.Kid-friendliness: If your kid is not into seafood, there are options like hotdogs and grilled cheese.
