My sister and I stopped in for lunch, the ketchup at our table was spoiled. And when they served us our burgers they were cooked well done instead of medium rare like we had ordered which meet the burgers dry

May look like a dive bar but don't be fooled, great service, even better food. If in Tampa stop by and the staff will treat you like family.
Really Friendly athmosphere. I'm not sure if the bartender is the owner of this place, but his taking care all customers as his personal guests. really nice. Prices are good for the downtown of Tampa.

We wanted to try this place out, this is my VERY first trip to Tampa! So I'm out of town for work, & we wanted a lil food & a few beers. The only 'server' there last night was rude & dismissive. I asked if they have menus, he said no. I asked if they have a menu board, he said no. I said how do people order drinks, they just point? He said yea. We. left. I'm not sure if it is because we were the only 3 black ppl there, but it was only 3 of us, 2 sisters & a teen, so it wasn't a big crowd. Unsolicited Advice: Learn to deal with people when under pressure, or if you don't like black ppl, post a sign or something so we can feel welcomed.

Anchor Tavern is and always has been the cheers of bars -- both welcoming of locals as well as visitors. The food is always delicious and consistent and the bartenders treat you like family. If you want to feel welcome and immediately like you're at your neighborhood bar -- go to anchor.

Great dive bar, friendly people.. I would definitely go back. I did get get food, but from what I observed everyone here was super friendly. Good spot to swing in. 100% would go back

This is a hidden gem! A must visit in Tampa !!! Suuuper recommend. Best portobello burger i ever had. My kudos to the chef. Emily is a great bartender and server, she is super nice and friendly. I loved the good vibes in this place. It feels like a hommy placeSuper recommended and if i ever come back to Tampa i will definitely be back
