Exceptional Catering for Our Annual Tea Party!

We recently used Empress Tea Room’s catering service for our annual tea party event, where we hosted 120 guests — and it was absolutely flawless. Kim and her staff were outstanding from beginning to end. Professional, organized, and incredibly warm, they made the entire process effortless.

The food was beautifully presented and delicious, with so much attention to detail. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about everything — from the tea to the scones and desserts.

Kim went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and it truly made a difference. Hosting such a large group can be stressful, but with Empress Tea Room, it felt easy.

We highly recommend them for any event — especially if you want elegance, great service, and a memorable experience!

Truly a Magical Experience at Empress Tea Room!

I recently hosted my sister’s baby shower at the Empress Tea Room, and I cannot say enough about how absolutely perfect the entire experience was. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, elegance, and an atmosphere that felt straight out of a storybook.

The venue itself is charming and beautifully decorated every detail, from the vintage tea sets to the floral arrangements, was picture-perfect. It created the most serene and sophisticated backdrop for our special celebration.

The staff and owner Kim went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. They were kind, attentive, and so accommodating with all of our needs. Planning a big event can be stressful, but Kim and her team made it feel effortless and fun.

And the tea service? Divine. The food was delicious from the fresh scones and finger sandwiches to the decadent desserts everything was flavorful, beautifully presented, and plentiful. The tea selection was impressive and everyone loved it!

Our guests are still raving about the day, and most importantly, my sister was absolutely glowing. She felt so celebrated, loved, and pampered. Exactly what we had hoped for 🩷

If you’re looking for a dreamy, charming venue to host a baby shower, bridal shower, or even just a lovely afternoon tea, I can’t recommend Empress Tea Room highly enough. They helped us create memories we’ll cherish forever.

I must write. NOT a welcoming tea experience where tradition and heartfelt connection come together. The place may have emerged from the founders’ dream to create memorable moments for grand parties but not inspired for the elegant English tradition of afternoon tea. The tea experience here did not offer a serene escape, instead you’re mixed in with other parties, like a baby shower, wedding shower with music background that you couldn’t have a moment of calm and indulgence. The finely cut finger sandwiches were not so finely, were about the size of my pinky width. No “fresh” baked goods, not even the fruits… something so simple. Thinking of it… a child would have prepped the dainty finger sandwiches and sweets way better. Love isn’t sprinkled in the making of the light meals. Tea experience is paired with curated collection of premium loose-leaf teas… here you only get one type of tea, forget the collections of tea. The service is not proper tea experience either. The place is very tacky … but this is the least because beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And, the unwelcoming feeling right when you drive up to park and at the door. While there are no rules to the spread of food, experiences etc… we felt robbed from the proper etiquette of Afternoon Tea. We sure miss the Royal Tea in South Tampa. We will be heading back to the Tilted Teacup… the drive is worth it to embrace the tranquility of tea. “Tea time is me time steeped in happiness”.

The sandwiches were delicious and tea was great. Service is slow bringing more tea. We never got more water and water was warm.

The manager was mean and told me our family was rude for taking pictures. Ummm ok.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Empress Tea Room and their catering service! We used them for my baby shower this past weekend, and everything was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional, punctual, and so easy to work with.

The tiered plate presentation was elegant and picture-perfect. Every tea sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully arranged. Our guests kept raving about how delicious everything was!

The Empress Tea experience was amazing. Kim came out to my home for my daughter’s 13th birthday Tea party and she brought the tea room experience with her! From the setup to the food menu everything was executed perfectly and Kim was just an amazing presence. I highly recommend!!! We all had amazing time and the kids felt fancy!! Thee best tea, scones, and tomato basil soup in town. I love the atmosphere wherever they are housed. Kim is so pleasant and accommodating. I recommend 100000 times over

Hosted my daughter’s 15th birthday party here and absolutely loved it. The decor and vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Kim was very helpful. Food was decent. If you are looking for a beautiful spot for a tea party then this is the place!
