Edit: In response to the businesses response, I bought an overpriced bottle from the storefront and left. So paying over $50 definitely does not mean I had a good time, it was the only option nearby and my first time. I haven’t gone back since I realized I can buy the same bottle for cheaper at another store 10 min away that accepts more than just cash and won’t give me smart ass responses when purchasing.

One of Tampa’s hidden gems that has been around for a long time. Good prices on their pours which can also be generous in quantity. They finally banned smoking inside so it no longer reeks and this has allowed me to finally enjoy being here. Good to catch some local bands hare and the package store, accessed inside, has has some good bottles on occasion with quite reasonable pricing at or even below MSRP.

When you go to Tampa you have to go to The Hub! Great historic bar. The owners and bartenders are top notch. They will not disappoint, you will have a fabulous time. Go to The Hub and have a great time.

The WORST bar I've ever been to. Service was absolutely terrible. Didn't even finish my drink before I left. Giving it 1 star is even too much but it's required to be able to post it.
Yesterday evening on 8/4/2024 I visited the Hub to have a drink. I witnessed the male bartender “BLOW HIS NOSE ON A Towel. He then immediately used THAT SAME TOWEL TO WIPE DOWN THE BAR COUNTER.” He didnt wash the towel off or anything. He used the same snot nosed towel and I was absolutely disgusted. I am never going back! That was absolutely disgusting. I now question the cleanliness of the drinking glasses, straws, etc

It's a dive bar with stiff drinks. There's usually something entertaining either inside or out. On the weekends they have some semblance of live music. You never quite know who you're gonna end up sitting next to....
Oh, and it's cash only. Seriously!
