Up to now, we’ve always enjoyed our experiences at The Pearl but last night was a real disappointment. We felt like a lighter dinner so ordered salads, adding grilled chicken. The chicken nearly DOUBLED the price from $16 to $30. Really??!! $14 adder for a chicken breast??!! The menu doesn’t price out the protein. Guess it was our fault for not asking. But what an overpriced ripoff. When the salads came, hubby and I were also remarking at how “light” the salad portion was against past visits. Honestly, not so sure we’ll be coming back. Can think of a lot of other places in town offering fresh, generously portioned salads for far less. At the very least, Pearl management, if you’re going charge crazy pricing for added protein, it’d be nice if it was transparent on the menu. Sticker shock at the end left a very bitter taste!

A nice chill atmosphere for brunch. Mimosas were heavy on champagne and didn’t give any fruity taste as expected. Food was very good. Personal fave is the harbor salad! Cute play on deviled eggs! Cinnamon roll was one of the best I’ve had and enough for 2 or 3 people! Devon, our server, was great! Checked on us regularly. Did not feel rushed at all. Gave 4 stars because of the poor hostess experience. We were not greeted at all upon entering and the first hostess acknowledged we had a reservation, said ok, and proceeded to speak with someone else. After 5 minutes of waiting, I asked the second hostess if she could check on my status to which she replied the first person was checking on my table. Therefore my recommendation is to have your hostesses greet customers with a smile and set expectations for what’s next and what they should experience. Had I let her unpleasant demeanor level set my experience, I would have left.

Had a great experience! They ran out of a dessert because it was very busy (understandable) and the server went out of her way to go to the Publix next-door to get a cheesecake for us! The service was great to begin with, and that was just the cherry on top.

I've gone twice now and I think it's growing on me. Winners are the deviled eggs, tater tots, and braised rib. The house smoked salmon was my least favorite item. Drinks, location, service, and ambience is great. Good spot before a Lightning game.

Great location, terrible service. Waitress kept us waiting for drinks, then food, then drinks, then our bill. Food is overpriced and the drinks are ok but served in glasses with huge ice cubes making the drink itself very small. Would not recommend!

We drove back to Tampa after Hurricane Milton. Tired, low on gas and no power at home. My family needed a dose of normalcy. We made reservations at Pearl since we were staying downtown. We had our mini golden doodle with us and expected to sit outside. Being one of the few areas in Tampa with power, they were very busy. Rather than make us wait for a table, Darren came outside and invited all of us to dine inside. The hospitality, service and food were excellent. Thank you and we will see you soon!

Great experience for the first time visit. Service was amazing. Every dish we ordered was unique and creative. Favor profiles were amazing. We can not wait to go back again. The beat salad was the best we have ever had. The skirt steak with kimchi rice was amazing. Be prepared for the flavor.

Came here for an anniversary dinner. Great service. Great drinks. Shrimp and grits has layers of flavor, so good. Scallops dinner had 5 good size scallops and flavor was light and buttery. Got a slice of the buckeye pie (Ohio? Why?), which was good but extremely rich we could only eat half a slice. How they don't have key lime pie as a dessert option in FL is beyond me, that's my one critical point about this place.

Service was great, but food was horrible. The orders were over salted, over seasoned, mixed flavors of sour, sweet, salty. I’ve ordered the shrimp and grits and it was so oily that you couldn’t find the grits, the server was very kind and switch my order for a new choice that I made and even that new order was extremely salted. Be careful what you order of the menu and ask questions before you place the order.
The server Nick made up the best he could for the horrible food. He was amazing!
Drinks were great.
