This visit, like our last one at Sacred Pepper, was disappointing. Several of the menu staples we've always enjoyed have been removed, which was frustrating. The dishes we ordered — Chilean sea bass and grouper — were just okay, nothing memorable or elevated. Our server was quite poor, though I should note that servers at nearby tables seemed attentive, so it didn't appear to be a systemic issue. Overall, the experience felt very “big box,” more comparable to a Bonefish than the elevated dining experience Sacred Pepper once offered. We initially thought it was karaoke night based on the sound, only to realize it was the live entertainment — which unfortunately missed the mark.
Always have a very nice meal here and the food is consistently good. The lobster "ravioli" was a bit deceiving as it was more of a large pasta noodle with crab and lobster. Very good, just not what was expected. The only downside is the noise level. We have noticed this on several occasions. It is very hard for a table of 4 to have a conversation due to the live singer at the bar. The sound carries directly into the main dining room and you almost have to shout over it. I know they tried to lower the volume, but the acoustics of the restaurant are such that it comes right into the room. I think Thursday is ladies night, so that might have had an impact on the entertainment volume level. If you have an elder person in your party, you may want to call in advance to find out if there is any live music on the night you plan to go. Just particularly difficult for those with hearing impairment.
The food, service and ambiance were fantastic as always. Celebrating my husband's birthday. The duo in the bar were very talented.
First time for me at this restaurant. The ambience was beautiful and we were seated promptly at a very cozy booth with upholstered chairs that were super comfortable. For an appetizer we had the sacred meatballs, very delicious, along with honey goat cheese baklava. Both were very tasty and enjoyable. My wife ordered the grilled pork chop which she sent back do to its toughness and flavor and replaced it with the short rib radiatore. At this point the ambience didn't matter, it was all downhill from there. My 18 year old grandson ordered a 12 ounce ribeye which he only ate half because it tasted off kilter but he boxed the other half. I ordered the Scottish salmon which I enjoyed but nothing special. In summary, the food was not what I expected for this price point restaurant. Our server was wonderful and there for all our needs. On another note, someone calculating the tip at the bottom of the check needs to go back to math class, that's all I'm saying.
We love these events. 3-4 out of pairings are usually excellent. One may be not quite as good. Wish the noise level was a little lower so could hear better. Service staff are unbelievable- not just in competency but compassion and desire to accommodate customer needs. May be the best part of event.
Just awesome. Amazing food, live entertainment, service was top notch. Just a real fun and enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend
Everything was very good and the service was excellent.. my only suggestion was the expand the menu because it did not give near enough choices..
Dinner was incredible and so was the service. Leah was the best waitress, she knew the menu and answered all and every question about what we should order and this was our first time coming. Will 100% be back. Was the best steak I've ever had
Drinks good as always. The appetizers were delicious. We had the baked stuffed shrimp, crab cakes and the flat bread with pepperoni and hot honey (exceptional). For dinner, we had swordfish which was delicious and perfectly cooked. And the sundae for dessert hit the spot! Keep it up with quality foods Sacred Pepper!
As always we had an exceptional experience and Mackenzie was a spectacular server. The food was excellent & the music fabulous.
