Food was a hit or miss depending on the dishes but service could’ve been better since I consider this place an upscale restaurant.Appetizers:- Oyster oysters were small and I’ve had better oysters rockefeller elsewhere- Steak not a fan was the steak was hard and chewy, doesn’t taste good either- Lobster Stuffed Shrimps: 10/10 highly recommend getting this dish as it tasted phenomenalMain Entree:- Sea bass: one of the best I’ve had, cooked to perfection and the ginger sauce was just *chef’s kiss*- Salmon: I stole a bite from my sister’s dish and I think it was meh, nothing specialDessert:- Creme brulee: delicious- Raspberry chocolate molten cake (?): decent, was free because it was my mom’s birthday so no complaintsOverall, would come back just for the sea bass and the lobster stuffed shrimp when I crave them

I made a reservation for 3 at a high top table on Open Table at 5. On the site it specifically asks if I want a high top and because it's an option I chose it. I haven't been to the restaurant in a couple months because I no longer work in the area but when I did we had three company Christmas parties there and happy hour at least once a week. I can unequivocally say that my coworkers and I supported the local restaurant. Last night when we walked in there was an immediate definite difference. A bunch of teenagers greeted us. I felt like I walked into McDonald's. A girl asked if we had a reservation and I said that we have a high top in the bar. She explained that it is a first come first serve basis. I explained why do you have it on Open Table as an option? She repeated that it's a first come first serve. And I repeated but it's an option for me to choose it. I could see from where I was standing that there was a high top that stated reserved. I said if it's first come first serve why is that table reserved? She said it's a friend of the owner. WOW. One of the teenagers led me to our table and I asked for the manager. What seemed like a 22-year-old came over to our table. Immediately I was not impressed with him. He didn't say Hi I'm the manager and my name is whatever.... He literally walked over to the table and looked at me. I guess that was my cue to start talking? Still don't know his name... Anyway, I explained to him the same thing I told the teen at the reception and he reiterated that it's a first come first serve. Clearly, I got that since it was the third time I heard it but I felt it worth repeating that you have a high top table with a reserved sign. He explained that it's the owner's friends. I said so then it's not first come first serve because the owner's friends got special treatment. I understand that it happens but you should not be so obvious and have a sign on the table. Also, I said so I can call in and say that I'm a friend of the owner and to reserve my table? The 22-year-old didn't get the sarcasm. So now I'm wondering if the 22-year-old type manager actually went to school for hospitality. If the owner saves a spot for her friends did this kid get the job because it's one of her friend's son? I've never had a manager good or bad come to my table and not identify him or herself. Another observation about this manager type person he spent more time between the teenagers at the reception and the special guest at the high top table. Doesn't a manager work the floor? Doesn't a manager go to each table and ask how their meals are? I will be shocked if he had any kind of managerial restaurant training or have a hospitality degree. If he does, I'm guessing he graduated last in his class or close to it. While I was talking with him, I even said we have many restaurants to choose from and we chose this one. Apparently we also chose ladies night so there were In the future, we will never go back and it's not 100% about the high top table. It's also the attitude and the quality of food. The shrimp and crab appetizer are to die for but the steak bites could have literally gone through a wall if I threw it. I don't know if a baseball is as hard as that steak bite was. The leather of the baseball is probably just as tough as that steak was. Obviously, I'll never go back because are too many other restaurants to patron.

The server was very nice, but did not ask once if we wanted to refill our drinks. We had no drink for about half our dinner time. Also, I had a lot of food on my plate. They took my plate to the back to box it. I have attached the photo of what it looks like… it is in a tiny box and there is no possible way all of my food made it into the box. It looks very unappetizing in this to go box. The food was good. Playing could be better, but I am no Gordon Ramsey.

The food was amazing and the service was even better. Our server Tim was great he was expedient and navigated us through our dining experience. We had several different plates and enjoyed every single one, the small details really made the plates pop!

I was extremely excited to try this restaurant for my friends birthday, the inside was absolutely stunning, and the menu photos looked promising, but that is about all that I can compliment this establishment on. Firstly, there are seven of us, and we are placed at a table that was unaccommodating for the size of our party. Considering the size of our party, there’s an automatic 20% gratuity charge on the bill, which would have been fine, had our serve Dylan, been more timely with his service. Our refill orders, as well as his follow up was very poorly timed as when we checked to see if we liked our entree, none of us had started eating yet. Upon tasting our food, 90% of us were highly dissatisfied and he was no where to be found. After waiting for an unreasonable amount of time, i had to leave my table and request another server/ host if we could have our server come over. He did apologize for his lack of appearance, but unfortunately continued to disregard us for the rest of our experience. He did put in a new order for my meal and it was better but definitely not worth the price I paid. Initally I ordered the Buccatini & burrata, which was either undercooked or overcooked, the noodles were stiff and very chewy, not to mention the dish lacked flavor all together, I also had a disappointing margarita for $15. two of the guest at our party ordered chicken parmesan, but one received penne chicken carbonara, which actually tasted better than the chicken parm but still did not received the correct entre ordered. Across-the-board, all of the entrées ordered lacked flavor and moistureOther than the two guest who ordered the lobster pasta, which was overly potent with a very strong fish flavor so much it was unenjoyable to eat. 5/7 plates were still filled with food when our experience came to an end, which our servers seem to dismiss. But at the Time of realization, no one felt comfortable, expressing the dissatisfaction of the entrées, considering it was near closing time, and the entire restaurant was very eager to close. The staff started cleaning, moving chairs, Closing the bar, etc Which apparently was part of an entertainment aspect, while we waited for our checks, with Dylan nowhere to be found we were stuck, looking around the restaurant for him, watching everyone do their nightly duties. We had to ask someone else to our server so that he could bring us the checks. Which again, included a 20% gratuity, which none of us felt he deserved, but at what choice did we have? This experienced ruined my friend’s 40th birthday dinner, and quite frankly, leaving us all dissatisfied, disappointed, and quite frankly still hungry. 10/10 would NOT recommend and will NOT be returning.

Manager not very nice, went in a limo on my birthday lots of traffic was told whole party had to be there in order to keep 8 seat reservation at least one of our party was already there. Also told if we arrive in the next 15 mins we will still have our seats. Decked out in our formal attire on my birthday we were met at the front by managers and security and told that we have no seats available did not try to accommodate what so ever oh yeah and got there before 15mins. Manager very rude said I’m not going to talk about the situation any further, which was a short civil convo so I said okay. Went go black rock food was great at black rock down the road!
