When asking the Hotel Concierge for his take on the best Mexican food here in Tampa, without hesitation he mentioned Urban Cantina. So we decided to try it.

Had drinks here a few years ago and didn’t think much of it. However, I was downtown yesterday and decided to give it another try. Food selection was excellent, as was quality of food and service. Will definitely go back next time I am in Tampa.

I recently visited this Mexican restaurant for the fifth time and I have to say, Taco Tuesdays are the best day to go! While the service can be a bit slow at times, asking for Daniel as your server guarantees a night full of attention and fantastic margaritas. The queso and chips make for a tasty appetizer that warms you up nicely before diving into the tacos. Speaking of tacos, I've tried them all and the Carne Asada and Shrimp tacos are my top picks - they are simply delicious!
