Visited Trophy Fish on North Florida 10.05 with my family for dinner. Manager was a real Peach. The kids meal is the the only thing on the menu that was allergy friendly towards me, and even though I ordered the rest of the family food, she called me out when I was paying the bill and told me she saw me eating the kids meal. I told her I wasn’t trying to hide it; I reminded her of our conversation when she (yes the same person) took my order. She told me next time she’ll charge me a full price meal. There’s not that there’s gonna be a next time. To make it even better I know an employee and after I left she bragged that she called me out on it…I can be petty or I can take the high road. After hearing she bragged about it; I decided I would be petty and was going scream from the roof tops to not go there. Food is good, but not enough to make up for the GM that identifies as miserable.

Enjoyed the outdoor seating for Gator game. It's going to be a football long season. Lol Staff is friendly and attentive. Shrimp Po' Boy was amazing...best one I've ever had. Cocktail drinks were on point and the IPA selection was ??

This place has the best shrimp taco I've ever had. The daily catch dishes are phenomenal (I generally recommend blackened with the Cajun remoulade...). Everything is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Like a beach casual environment with some of the best seafood in Tampa.

I recently dined at Trophy Fish, and while the atmosphere and most of the staff were fantastic, my experience was ruined by our server, Erica. Everyone else we interacted with was super friendly and helpful, making it even more disappointing that Erica was the exact opposite.
From the moment we sat down, Erica was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She seemed disinterested in serving us and acted as though we were inconveniencing her. Despite the friendliness of the other staff, Erica’s attitude made the entire dining experience uncomfortable.
She was inattentive throughout our meal, barely checking on us, and when she did, her responses were curt and dismissive. It’s unfortunate because the rest of the team seemed dedicated to providing great service, but Erica’s behavior completely overshadowed that.
I’ve enjoyed my visits to Trophy Fish in the past, but this experience was so disappointing that it’s hard to overlook. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as it’s important for all staff members to uphold the restaurant’s otherwise great reputation.

What an amazing little spot for drinks and dinner. Not fully enclosed, very open. You won't get wet if it rains, extremely airy, well fanned.

Best fish sandwich in Tampa Bay. Hands down. We come here repeatedly for their sandwich. Always fresh. Great service. Great beer on tap! Bartenders are always friendly. There’s a nice bar next door too!

We live in Seminole Heights and have become regulars at the Tampa location. Is it a little pricey for the neighborhood? Yes. But the food is consistently good which I can’t say about their competition in neighborhood. Love several things on the menu but particularly like the ceviche, the fish sandwich, and shrimp sandwich. Only constructive criticism would be how they ask you to order and pay for the food at the bar. Often seems like they have enough staff to spare 1 person to take your order at the tables, but that’s not how they do it.

Beautiful atmosphere. Great playlist. The food was very good. I would return here if I'm back in the area.
A few things to note- the service is set up where you place your order with the bartender then wait for them to bring it to your table. He takes your payment info and at the end when you close your bill, you get a receipt.
The bartender, Jamal, was attentive and he made great drinks. 10/10.
My husband and I ordered the catch of the day which was red grouper. It was delicious but in my opinion very small portion for the price. 8/10
Shrimp skewers and the house salad was amazing! 10/10
My son's liked their blackened chicken sandwich. 7/10
The key lime pie was excellent! 10/10
Overall, I recommend this place and look forward to returning at a future date.

There really wasn’t any service we had to keep getting up to ask questions and to order food. No one asked us if we needed refills on drinks or anything. The apps were ok. The main dishes were small for the price and the food was bland. We were excited to try this place as we are seafood lovers and foodies and love trying new places. The atmosphere and decor were nice but the lack of service and flavor negates the look and feel of the place.
