This place has potential but really misses the mark. The layout and ambiance is great. Looks like you’re stepping into Key West, but that’s where it ends. The name “Trophy Fish” and logo lends itself to an upscale restaurant, but it’s a much more casual spot - which isn’t a bad thing - but could be disappointing to someone that got the wrong impression based on the marketing. Again, it has a real Key West vibe but is pumping out modern techno music??? The food was just ok. The hush puppies were cooked on the outside but basically raw inside. The shrimp Po Boy was decent. The fish tacos were soaking wet and not much flavor. We wanted to like this place but they just seem to be all over the board without much focus or direction.

great environment! great food….crap service. had a group of employees tell us our drinks were ready 4 steps away… make me get up to come get them., and then expects 20% tip….. not my idea of service.

Awesome service! Our bartender was fantastic, friendly and attentive. The oysters were fresh, and the shrimp tacos were delicious. Highly recommend trying the Mai Tai.

Easy little spot for a drink and quick bites to eat. The shrimp tacos are delicious

$1 oysters and happy hour drinks were so good. Bartenders were very very friendly. The vibes are bungalow retreat from the heat in the hip neighborhood of Seminole heights. Super family friendly. Lots of parking. I actually prefer this location over the St.Pete Trophy Fish 🐠🫶🏼👏🏼

As someone who works in the industry this is one of my all time fav places in Tampa Bay. I was so happy to spend my birthday here 💗

All outdoor seating, mostly shaded. Recommend midday for a relaxing lunch. Not a huge place, so during busier times if single or couple plan to sit at the large bar.

Loved the atmosphere, drinks, and most food. VERY disappointed about the oysters. They were opened and shucked but not cleaned out. Still filled with gew and brown muck.

I love this place! The atmosphere is great if you catch it at the right time of year. The drinks are just as amazing as the bartenders! Foods always delicious too!

Visited Trophy Fish on North Florida 10.05 with my family for dinner. Manager was a real Peach. The kids meal is the the only thing on the menu that was allergy friendly towards me, and even though I ordered the rest of the family food, she called me out when I was paying the bill and told me she saw me eating the kids meal. I told her I wasn’t trying to hide it; I reminded her of our conversation when she (yes the same person) took my order.
She told me next time she’ll charge me a full price meal. There’s not that there’s gonna be a next time. To make it even better I know an employee and after I left she bragged that she called me out on it…I can be petty or I can take the high road. After hearing she bragged about it; I decided I would be petty and was going scream from the roof tops to not go there. Food is good, but not enough to make up for the GM that identifies as miserable.

Enjoyed the outdoor seating for Gator game. It's going to be a football long season. Lol Staff is friendly and attentive. Shrimp Po' Boy was amazing...best one I've ever had. Cocktail drinks were on point and the IPA selection was ??

We had a shrimp po-boy and a shrimp sandwich. Corn as an appetizer. All were delicious. We will definitely be eating there again.

This place has the best shrimp taco I've ever had. The daily catch dishes are phenomenal (I generally recommend blackened with the Cajun remoulade...). Everything is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Like a beach casual environment with some of the best seafood in Tampa.

I recently dined at Trophy Fish, and while the atmosphere and most of the staff were fantastic, my experience was ruined by our server, Erica. Everyone else we interacted with was super friendly and helpful, making it even more disappointing that Erica was the exact opposite.

From the moment we sat down, Erica was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She seemed disinterested in serving us and acted as though we were inconveniencing her. Despite the friendliness of the other staff, Erica’s attitude made the entire dining experience uncomfortable.

She was inattentive throughout our meal, barely checking on us, and when she did, her responses were curt and dismissive. It’s unfortunate because the rest of the team seemed dedicated to providing great service, but Erica’s behavior completely overshadowed that.

I’ve enjoyed my visits to Trophy Fish in the past, but this experience was so disappointing that it’s hard to overlook. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as it’s important for all staff members to uphold the restaurant’s otherwise great reputation.
