The changes at the Pollo Tropical on West Waters in Tampa go far beyond a new paint job and refurbishment. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, bright and well-organized. The counter staff are very pleasant and accommodating, especially the manager. The dishes which we usually order are the Grilled Chicken Tropichop and the Whole Chicken Family Meal. The Tropichop has everything that you would want in a Caribbean meal: marinated grilled chicken, rice, beans, tomatoes, onions, corn, and peppers. Of course, variations are possible. The available sauces are great, especially the Guava BBQ sauce and the Pineapple Rum Sauce. I'm very glad to see the changes at the new Pollo Tropical. They've brought me back, and I'll continue to visit often.

I love Pollo Tropical. I think it is the healthiest fast food out there, although sometimes they have no chicken. I went some time ago and ordered a bowl. There was a baby bird skeleton, charred, on top of my bowl. Beak and everything. I showed it to the manager who accused me of bringing it in myself, and she took my bird skeleton from me. All I got was a replacement bowl. I know things happen, but I don't think I was treated fairly. Does she really think I would find a baby bird and burn it and bring it in and place it on my bowl, and then let her take it from me? I never even took a picture...I still am a customer, but never order bowls anymore.
Don't waste your money. Coconut shrimp was dried up and there should have been, according to the photo, 8-10 pieces of avocado, I think there were 4. Was supposed to get plantains and didn't. No sauce for the shrimp. And piece of key lime pie was all of about 4 bites. When I went online to leave comments, it would not take the code on my receipt on my phone. The bean salad and regular salad with it were ok.

This place can never get an order correct! I have mobile ordered and gone through the drive through many times (no more though) and every time they manage to mess it up. One time they didn’t include my meal, just a side. Most times they don’t include the sauces I requested or they give me the wrong sauce. Every. Damn. Time. It can’t be that hard to read a screen. The food, when correct, is great but this place is run horribly. Buyer beware!

I have ordered TWICE from here, and TWICE they have messed up my order. I have taken the time today to do this review because of the terrible service. I ordered twice for Delivery, 2 churrasco platters, and both times 1 of them was missing. I called the store, no one answers. I called guest services 3 times, and all they do is send my complaint to the store, and no one calls me or emails me. DO NOT order delivery from this place, it will be wrong. Save your money, your time, and your sanity.

Every time I went to Pollo Tropical on Waters they mess up my order, are out of an item and are slow no matter how many cars are in the lane. Last week I didn't receive everything I ordered AGAIN and 6 days later I have not received a call nor my money back which is unprofessionaland unacceptable. Pollo Tropical has lost my business

Food was just just ok but the service was just terrible. I placed an online curbside order and was given a pick-up time. Arrived five minutes early and called the number on the sign. After waiting another 15 minutes I finally received my food. The guy said “he forgot about me”. I only live less than 5 minutes away so when I got home not only was my food ice cold but I was missing half my order!?! I drove back up and the Manager found my food that the guy left on the counter. She was extremely rude and didn’t even offer to remake it. I demanded that she make it fresh and asked for my money back. She remade my sandwiches but would not give cash back. My recommendation is to skip Pollo Tropical and drive down the street to Tostone. The food is high quality and the service is even better.
