My husband and I went to Vino E Pasta for the first time with my son and his girlfriend! We are from Chicago and just got in town. We had no reservations but the kind gentleman who greeted us was able get us a table and had the restaurant sing to our son for his birthday! The food, service and atmosphere are all fabulous!

I rarely feel the need to warn fellow Googlers off a place, but this place is awful. I'm sure the rating will be drowned in some click farm review flood. The food is OK-ish when delivered. The DineIn experience gets ruined when the owner happens to be in.

BEWARE: this restaurant is price gouging, false advertising, illegally adding automatic tips, and the man acting as the manager/ owner is unbelievably rude. To *briefly* explain: 1. Price gouging & false advertising: you can order from them on Grubhub for $10 LESS PER ENTREE than the same items cost to dine in. Also, the restaurant’s official website shows entrees priced $3 less than their actual dine-in menu prices. (See my photos). There is nothing printed on their dine-in menu to explain why dining in costs so much more, especially when tax and tip are still NOT included in their dine-in menu prices.
2. They included an automatic 22% tip on my table’s bills without notifying us in advance, which is illegal. This tip policy is not printed on their menu and was not communicated in any other way. Then we had to wait about 30 minutes for them to remove it. As if their price gouging and 22% included tip weren't big enough money grabs, their bills show suggested tip amounts of 20%, 25%, 30%, and the first time I've ever seen 35% tip.
3. The oldest male staff member, who acted like the owner/ manager, repeatedly cut us off mid-sentence and literally walked away while we were still speaking! None of us were angry or raised our voices with him; he just didn’t seem to want to hear what we were about to say, and often incorrectly assumed what we were about to say. For example, he cut us off and walked away before we could finish telling him one item had been put on the wrong person’s bill, and thus 2 bills needed redone. He also would not let us tell him that their website and Grubhub show lower prices than their dine-in menu. When our entrees were served, he spent several awkward minutes standing at the head of our table asking what each person had ordered as we were trying to take our first bites. He said he wanted to get our separate checks correct, but he still mixed them up so monumentally, he made at least five trips back and forth with our bills, and still never corrected that item we were eventually allowed to tell him was on the wrong person’s bill. He also pointed to the security camera above our table and said he’d be watching the footage later to see how we acted, as if we had done something wrong (we hadn’t)! These are just a few examples of his constant, unwarranted rudeness.
None of us will ever be going back, and I will forever recommend others don't buy anything from them either.
If you read the owner's response to my review (which I've uploaded as a screenshot in case he edits it), you'll see his true personality is everything I wrote, including his false assumptions because I have not commented about this experience anywhere else. But it's telling that apparently someone else has written about their bad experience in three different places!

This is without a doubt one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. Honestly, as I reminisce My dining experience there all around, I want to make a day trip now and go.
From the outside, it's a quaint delicate design, but on the inside, it's fancy decor and vibe, I'm glad my date and I jokingly got dressed up. We went in without any research into the place, and it was a gem.
The food was exquisite. From first to last bite, we were not disappointed. We ordered off the specials.
I ordered the lamb in brown sauce, which was a sort of mushroom sauce, and it was phenomenal. My date ordered the 7 (or 6?) seafood pasta. Both were, *chefs kiss*
Also, if you ever hear about the Zabaione on the dessert specials. Order it. This is the first place in 2 decades that I have searched to have this dessert. You will not be disappointed.
