I'm so sad that this restaurant closed. It was one of the best in Tampa. The bacon-wrapped dates, the mushroom bisque, the Spanish merluza, the ceviche, the escargots, the albondigas, their apple pie with the Catalan creme, on and on: absolutely every single item on the menu was a bite of heaven. Hoping they'll return, and especially hoping their next location will be back in Carrollwood/North Tampa!!

Start with the empanadillas de carne & rabo de toro. Then get the paella campesina (Spanish chorizo, boneless chicken breast, chicken drumsticks with Spanish saffron bomba rice).

Oh wow! This place is great! We've been twice now while on staycations, over the past couple of years, and we love it! The service is always quick, meaning me get our food while it is still so hot we have to stare at it until it cools enough to eat. The food itself? Amazing!

May 13, haven't been able to get them to answer the phone in a week and he'd they're closed for good. Anyone have info?

Ate at this restaurant the other night. Because of the Covid problems we got takeout. We got multiple appetizers, their cigar city special, chicken marsala, and penne pasta. It was all extremely delicious, served with a loaf of bread and flan, and exceeded my expectations for take out. The penne with the crab was out of this world. It was like eating a deviled crab on top of penne pasta. But without the breading. I really cannot say enough about the food. Everything that we got was extremely delicious and one meal could've easily served two people. I now have left over.

We've been a huge fan of Chef Felix for 15+ years. From his days at La Maison Basque, to his long running location in Carrollwood, and now his newest location of Vizcaya on Westshore. South Tampa has gained a priceless gem! We've tried nearly everthing on the menu over the years and truly NOTHING disappoints. I rarely eat fish (at home or when dining out) and its my go to here. His sauces are exquisite (on absolutely anyting he makes). And my favorite tapas are the datiles (goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon), & chorizo. Understandably they have had to undergo changes to their menu since the pandemic and streamline items that are more suitable for takeout. Since then, we have enjoyed their white bean and garbanzo soups, conflake crusted grouper bits (which incredibly stayed warm and crispy during transport!), seafood paella, chicken paella, chicken breast w/Sautéed Sherry wine & mushroom sauce, & the filet tips. Everything has been top notch and incredbily well made. Hats off again to Felix and his staff for being able to modify during these unprecedented times.

Outstanding Spanish restaurant. My favorites are the Caldo Gallego, Oxtail Tapas, and the lamb shank. Theres even a nice patio upstairs to enjoy a fine cigar after a great dinner. Well recommended

If you are looking for a restaurant in the West end area or Tampa. Vizcaya is truly the place worth investigating. The ambiance makes you feel you have stepped into a different country. The food is exquisite and very tasty not to mention the desserts!

Celebrated our son’s 21st birthday there tonight. Food was delicious as always. Ambiance was perfect and staff courteous and attentive. Always enjoy our evenings at Vizcaya.

We visited Vizcaya for the first time before going to the Andrea Bocelli concert. The food was very good but the service less than special; relatively inattentive and inexperienced.

Had an excellent time with family and friends from start to finish. Vizcaya has moved to another location, which is an upgrade overall. The place is spacious and decorated nicely with plenty of parking. Our server was very personable and handled our party of 12 with ease. She took our drink and appetizer orders early on and then took our dinner entree orders once we settled in. Everything was delicious. My filet mignon and spinach dish was spectacular, very flavorful. The prawn ? tapas was delicious and the house salad was fresh. Others ordered the paella ? dishes and raved about taste. Having a glass of sangria during dinner and ordering the flan ? for dessert topped off a wonderful evening.

We had a reservation tonight for 7:30pm and arrived at 7:20pm. After waiting and being told a table would be ready in 5 minutes numerous times with no real indication of a table becoming available we left. Interesting that a table marked 'reserved' the entire time we were waiting was used for people who walked in as we were leaving. Not sure what the difference between a reservation and 'reserved' is......can't comment on the food but do not believe we will be back to try it.

Even when they were in Carrollwood, I considered the food rather meh. But the service was not as atrocious as it seems to be now. The soups and the first round of tapas took over an hour to come out of the kitchen. After waiting another hour, the entrees that a couple of people had ordered and the next round of tapas still hadn't come out of the kitchen. The entrees got cancelled and the tapas were packaged to go- that still took 15 minutes. There was no service recovery. No desserts offered, no inexpensive tapas removed from anyone's bill. When I received a bill with an automatic 20% gratuity, I asked for a manager. After yet another 15 minutes they sent the kitchen manager out ? who did almost nothing except take the gratuity off and give me a business card for the useless manager who had conveniently just left. Dude - your kitchen is imploding and you just left? No explanation, no apology, no service recovery for our party of nine. I will not be back and like so many in this location, I don't expect them to last.

Really enjoyed out first time here. Food and service(Melissa) were awesome. Only wish they played some sort of music during happy hour. This is more for taking someone on a date opposed dlgoing with the few friends to laugh out loud. Regardless, great restaurant.

We have been here for happy hour twice in the last couple of weeks. (Every day 5-7pm). We get the $5 tapas offerings and martinis at the upstairs bar. Excellent! Of the ones we've tried the grouper bites and eggplant rollatinis are favorites. The meatballs are also great. Service was excellent both times. We'll be back for sure to try more. Went back again tonight. We bought the $24 Groupon for $40 off the check. Could not use this on happy hour items so we ordered off the regular menu. I had the tenderloin tips and my husband had the octopus tapas. Unbelievably delicious! Fabulous value. Again service was exemplary. We sit at the bar upstairs. Vizcaya is a regular stop for us for sure. Highly recommend!
