Traditional British fare with a twist.
Had The Yorkie- yorkshire pudding with beef, carrots, onions topped with horseradish and gravy fashioned into a sandwich which was delicious!
Sam and Gosia are the best! This place has excellent food, great service, and a myriad of activities ranging from darts to live performances. They make all the beer in-house. The chef worked at a Michelin star restaurant before this place, and the food reflects that. Anyone who writes a bad review is probably a Karen, because I have had nothing but great experiences. It has great vibes, and I always feel comfortable and welcome here. I have never been to the UK, but I imagine this would be a perfect example of your local pub, where everyone knows you and you feel like you're in a second home.
Ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was way over fried and hard-. Roll was hard and a rock. Brussels sprouts were over done as well- burnt. Had been here before and food was good not sure why they sent out that sandwich thinking it was ok to serve
Reordered grilled chicken version and was better but not great
I have been to this place for a band Tribute to ABBA, the Karaoke nights on first Friday and we rented their space when my son and his friends had their high school graduation party. In all of those times we have been very pleased with the food, the beer and the staff. I do recommend this place. The tribute to ABBA and the Karaoke night were a lot of fun!

Steak was very fatty and hamburger was greasy, and service was slow
Great place with great beer and even better food! Always great service, especially from Gosia who seems to be everywhere making sure people are enjoying their food and drink! Check out their events on the weekends featuring awesome cover bands! Love it!
Florida Health department please visit The Wild Rover... serving deposing ammonia tasting fish & greasy chips. Nasty. They are 100% serving ammonia tasting fish which is decomposing and or old fish that is spoiled. This was returned to waitress immediately and she ignorantly replied nothing wrong but she refused to eat it. The fish was slimy and clear, not white and flaky. Thus this can cause diarrhea and hospitalization etc. Once a rover... Never again.
Returned the spoiled rotten food, paid full price & still tipped and will never return. Last time they see a red cent from myself. That waitress made no amends or accepted accountability. Enjoy the $70 payment as it will be the last. Warning, if you taste ammonia it's rotten poisonous fish that can cause death.
Fish and chips - fish was very oily, and along with fries, very unseasoned, salt and pepper on the table for the seasoning. Not worth it for the price.
Chicken curry was ok. Naan is not particularly good, not sure if it was made at the restaurant.
Service is great- the gentleman who ran the bar during the day is very nice.
Fair to middling. Went to see the live music which was great, there was plenty of space at the venue, and the food was pricey but pretty good. The beer was terrible though.
Edit: lol fun response. Go to *any* of the wonderful breweries we are blessed with in the Tampa Bay area, and you'll notice a marked difference in beer quality. I forced myself to finish one single glass of whatever white stout was on tap at the Rover when I went. My wife asked if I wanted to finish her single beer. I tried it, and declined the offer. We typically never have fewer than three each when we go out for beers elsewhere.
What a great team and venue! Theo, the band Was amazing “The Fleetwood MaX”. All the staff very friendly and super clean. Thank you, hope to be back soon. -J

Have not been here recently and will definitely not be back. Came in for some beers and some food. Bartender was too busy playing trivia to wait on us. We were the only 3 people at the bar.. Service was the worst I have ever had. Not friendly or sociable. Food was okay, but quite pricey for 1 piece of fish and chips. Would have stayed and spent more money and played darts, but bartender had no interest in serving us. I brought a group of three to try it out and would have brought back the whole softball team the following week. Lost cause!!! One of the beers we ordered ran out. Instead of giving it to us a a a taster she said she had to dump it out or she would be fired! Did not make sense!
Good food and nice drink selection.
Great place! Im British and was really craving fish and chips. The fish chips and mushy peas was lovely! I’m so pleased to have this gem near where I live in Westchase. The only thing that’s missing is Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding and sticky toffee pud. If you did that on a Sunday I would be soooo happy!
The food here is spectacular. There's nothing on the menu that I wouldn't try.
Hand Pulled real ale and great food! Good service and atmosphere..Love the new look
