My family and I decided to make an appearance at world of beer this Wednesday for their weekly trivia night for some good food and even better beer, and being this was my first time at world of beer, but other than our server who was very attentive and on top of everything, the service was just lack luster. The food was great, we had ordered the Mac and cheese bites and a German pretzel for appetizers and only few of us were hungry so we only got 2 entrees: a Caesar Salad with chicken, and a medium rare “Mac bite” burger. The issue is that we didn’t see our food for over an hour after ordering. Now I would almost understand it taking this long had 6 of us ordered all well done steaks, but a salad and a medium rare burger should not have taken the at long regardless the foot traffic. On top of that, when I was brought my beer by a food runner, she didn’t even know the name of the beer, this was very informal given that the NAME of the restaurant is “World of beer”, yet an employee has zero clue what beer they’re dropping off to their guests. Upon receiving our food after the hour wait I had asked to speak to with a supervisor about this wait that I’m sure plenty others endowed, his response was very unprofessional as he stated “sorry, we are really trying our best here” and then proceeded to give no compensation until requested, and the compensation given was a free appetizer Available for use on our NEXT visit as if we would want to come back after this service, which really is a let down because the food was great. I can understand a 30 minute wait on food when it is really busy but an hour wait for two entrees is absolutely unacceptable. Maybe a different location would change my mind but as a first time guest here the service was unacceptable. If one hour for a salad and a burger is “their best” then I would really hate to dine here on the weekend. I’m not writing this review in hopes of getting anyone in trouble, I’m writing this as a passionate enthusiast of the culinary world in hopes that my words can help form a better restaurant. My suggestion is having more staff on days you understand the flow of service will be amplified. If you’ve read this review, thank you for giving me your valuable time and thoughts. Went in with a few friends for my birthday dinner and had Sarah as my server, she was very kind and attentive, and got us refills on drinks before they were completely empty. The food was also incredible, this was a 10/10 experience and I will be coming back! Thank you Sarah!

An encounter from a baseball fan.On 4/16/24 at approx 6:55pm we arrive and this beautiful location. Upon entering we inmediately go to the bar ordered a few drinks and kindly asked where could we sit to be taken care of. The bartender kindly shows us where to sit and to wait for our waiter. A whole HOUR passed by and to me and my date surprise 4-5 waitresses were taking care of customers coming in (WAY after us) Our drinks were EMPTY no one even tried to make any acknowledgement of our presence. To be brutally honest it felt so dishonest. To start this whole thing off i am a BIG Orioles fan so i tend to wear bright jerseys and this location being a "sportsbar" i figured someone would try and offer me some service. After we both decided to switch tables just to see if someone would notice and still NEW customers walking in and instantly getting service.While i understand food and beverage can be a touchy subject, waiting times are usually maybe7-10 minutes if busy. So i approach the bar AGAIN and ask the ONLY kind employee and asked if they were slammed because no one had take ñn care of us. She rushed got whoever "acted" as a manager because he for sure had zero clue. As to the waiter assigned to us i'd like to THANK YOU young man for your hard work and for doing the right thing. This review is not meant as a negative impact on your restaurant i'd like to highlight a common issue in your establishment which is discrimination and bad customer service. As for my next visit there won't be.

Went to world of beer this Sunday for the first time. Enjoyed our beers and food. Sam was our bartender, she was super fun and energetic, kept our drinks topped off. Would recommend!
