I don’t know what happened to this place but it’s going downhill. We had Beef and Broccoli and it was terrible. The Fried Rice not as good as before. We had 2 more dishes (we were 3 people) Nobody enjoyed their dishes. Besides it was more expensive. I won’t be back!

This is my old review few years ago:
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in all Tampa Bay area. I like their cleanness and roomy tables but their food is the best. Their Fried Rice, Fried Calamari, Peking Duck are excellent but to be honest any dish that we got we loved it. We drive 45 minutes to come to eat here. Their prices are very reasonable.

The braised eggplant entree was so fresh

Seems like amount of food is less and less but still delicious and fresh.

Had high expectation for Yummy House since it has a Michelin star, but honestly left pretty disappointed. I’ve been to three of their locations (check my other reviews), and this one was the worst so far.

The hot & sour soup had no flavor—had to ask them to redo it with more seasoning. Dim sum was meh, some dishes even came out overcooked. Duck was probably the best thing we had. Salted egg bun, which I usually love, was mushy this time. Service was also slow overall. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for from a Michelin-rated spot.

Food makes it worthwhile. Only problem is we didn't get a dish we ordered. The waitress blamed it on the kitchen and we waited for ever to find out.

I am sorry but a place that doesn't let you sit before you sign in on a computer even though the waitress is already talking to you face to face it's not a place that I would recommend to go. I didn't even make it to the table to try the food.
They prefer to let Customer speak to a computer instead of of giving service.
They are trying to collect information about customers and they forced it.
Will never step in to this place again.

We went for Dim Sum. Food was a little salty and a little oily but still edible and decent in flavor. Would recommend if youre having a craving and want something quick.

It was my first time having dim sum. I really enjoyed the different options .The pig feet ,dumpling, sticky rice was really delicious. I would recommend this restaurant.

I've been eager to visit this place for quite some time, and we finally went to the location on Hillsborough. With numerous other options available for a Saturday night, this experience turned out to be quite disappointing.

Upon entering, we were greeted by the bustling atmosphere of a large takeout operation right past the main doors. Staff were busy scrambling, answering calls, and people picking up their orders. This takeout business seems to be their main focus. The lighting is overwhelmingly bright as soon as you walk into the restaurant, with spotlights everywhere. There are two dining areas on either side, both of which are brighter than a typical diner we felt like we were on stage about to perform. The setup feels hastily done, with no thought put into proper restaurant lighting; it seems no one is willing to invest in better electrical work. The lights don’t even have a dimmer option. Awful atmosphere. For the first half of our meal, we sat in complete silence with no music at all.

The conditions of the restrooms…. You should be ashamed.

They don’t serve dim sum in the evenings, only at lunch, so we had to choose other menu items. The spring rolls were disappointing—small, cigar-like pieces with hardly any filling. The wonton soup was passable, and the steamed gyozas were nothing special.

The real letdown came with the entrées we chose. The Szechuan chicken was overwhelmed with an excessive amount of zucchini, and the same issue with the Mongolian beef, which was drowning in onions and zucchini as well. To make matters worse, the sauces on both dishes were non-traditional, overly thick, gummy, and excessively sweet.

Overall, it was quite a letdown.

Our server was good and attentive, but when I mention the lighting being that there was a direct spotlight right on my face, she did not take the initiative care to do anything about it.

When you ask for takeout boxes, do you check if they are clean? Today, when I finished my meal, I asked them to take out 3 takeout boxes. When I put the food into the boxes, I was about to close the boxes and found that my hands were covered with white plastic. It was terrible. The other two boxes were the same. The food I was going to take home was also covered with plastic particles! I explained the situation to the waitress and she told the front desk manager. I saw the waitress's face turned red when she was scolded by the front desk manager. I knew it was not her fault! The waitress told me that the manager would come but I waited for a long time. Then the manager asked me if you want to make a new one or return it. The manager didn't apologize for this matter at all, so I chose to return it! I used to come here often with my family to eat, but today the attitude of the manager made me choose not to come back again. Once again remind everyone to check the meal boxes! Also, pay attention to the tips! They have added 18% tips but did not tell the guests when paying. I suspect they use this method to get guests to pay more tips! I have already paid about 35 yuan in tips today. If this had not happened, I would not have looked at the bill seriously.

Our experience began when our party went to wash our hands upon arrival. We had both men and women in our party and everyone who entered your restrooms were SHOCKED with the conditions, which are in disrepair and skeevy. Restrooms are not only part of the environment but also an extension of your hospitality and should be brought to code and repaired immediately.

We heard that Yummy House was the #1 Chinese restaurant in Tampa and was excited to experience the food. We ordered several dishes and appetizers for the table to share. The food was okay, and did not meet or exceed our expectations. The service was fine, not remarkable. One thing that truly disappointed me was our order of assorted seafood fried rice, which was supposed to include crab, shrimp and scallops—there was no identifiable crab meat in the rice and small sized shrimp and scallops (small meaning THE SMALLEST) which ruined my experience. You should never use tiny shrimp for fried rice. This business seems to be successful enough not to be so cheap that tiny shrimp are used in fried rice, and with tiny shrimp, scallops and no crab meat— my dining experience was ruined. We were underwhelmed and will not return.
