H'ours Creole Smokehouse

Some very good New Orleans influenced food in a quaint converted house. Excellent desserts too.

First time visiting. Made a reservation online, easily, for 6:30 but went there early to see the band, outside. Due to the approaching storm, we sat at the outside bar with many fun people that visit the restaurant, often.
Employees Lori and Elissa were so nice and chatted with everyone as they constantly kept the bar area clean and organized.
Our food, Smoked Chicken Jambalaya and Creole Butterfish were absolutely delicious!!! We asked Lori to please tell the chef how much we enjoyed the food and to our surprise, she brought him out. The chef is actually the owner and we learned that he worked in NOLA for many years. His knowledge of Cajun food, combined with his cooking skills, really shows.
We have visited many Cajun restaurants that haven't had the fortune of staying in business. We are so happy to finally get to H'ours, which has been in business for many years, and we will definitely return!
We didn't save room for dessert but saw many patrons eating bread pudding. One patron even got an order to take home to their son!
We also noticed the Old Fashioned drink was a popular happy hour choice.

Everything I've had here has been outstanding, and the service is always great. Ceasar salad with blackened fish, drumsticks, ribs, butterfish, green, fried green tomatoes, and rhe cocktails ... all excellent.

Best food in Tarpon Springs...

The food is incredible and Todd is fabulous. The only complaint is they need to bring back the ginger ice cream.

Love the live music. The beet salad was delicious too. Nice spot to people watch on Friday.

Overall it was an amazing dinner. I had the butter fish dish (“incredible!”) and my friend had the chicken jambalaya (“very good”). The only issue I had was the waiter made a mistake with my order and brought the wrong dish for me when he brought our food. He admitted the mistake, but I had to wait an additional 20 min while my friend ate his dish and there was no “compensation.” I would have expected our dessert to be free or asked I wanted an appetizer in the house, but nothing was offered for their mistake and my wait. I still recommend it but I suggest they do a better at making up for their mistakes like other quality restaurants do.

Authentic, cozy, yet elevated Cajun food. The portion sizes for the shrimp and crawfish etoufee were large. I would drive here just for the alligator and friend green tomatoes. The peach crisp and bread pudding were PERFECT! The live jazz band made the night super special. The indoor dining room was a little tight, but otherwise perfect. We will be back.

Amazing food and wonderful service. This is a neighborhood gem where the
changes the menu up each week. Reservations highly recommended. Live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Wednesdays they have a special sandwich menu (and live music) to support food insecurity pgms in the city. This is my favorite restaurant in Tarpon Springs.
