Bought some delicious pastries on our first day in Tarpon Springs. Went back the next day for more and Valerie was wonderful explaining the pastries and gave us a tour of the bakery. Wonderful experience and delicious baked goods. Thank you Valerie and staff!

If you’re in Tarpon Springs and don’t wander off the main drag, you’ll miss this little gem.

Tucked away on the back streets is National Bakery — serving up old-school Greek pastries since 1925. The baklava? Rolled like an egg roll, crispy on the outside, soaked just right inside. Easily the best thing I had in town.

No flash, no frills — just trays full of pastries that actually taste homemade. Total surprise find while walking, and absolutely worth the detour.

Support the small spots. This one’s a keeper.

We wondered in just driving around Tarpon Springs on a day trip. The lady in the store was so nice and informative. She told us about the bakerys history and about all the items. Would recommend and will go back on our next visit. Thank you!!

The homemade delicious treats that we found in the gem of a spot are some of the best Greek sweets and breads I’ve ever tasted. Stacy was welcoming and helpful. If you are in Tarpon Springs- don’t go to the “factory made” on the main drag. It’s less than 2 minutes of a walk to get authentic Greek baked goods. (Cash only, so be prepared)

I came in when I didn't realize the shop was closed, but Stacy was so sweet & wouldn't take no for an answer 🤣 The napoleon was phenomenal (and only $6), but the kindness won't be forgotten. Thank you!!

Please take a bit walk to visit the one bakery that bakes the bread for the town.
