Sponge City Brewing

I’m sad to say I have to change my review of this establishment. Previously, I gave them 5 stars, but unfortunately, the staff was not accommodating to customers during a recent visit.

I’m giving a lower rating because, when we were a party of 10 on a chilly evening—around 63 degrees—we politely asked for a heat lamp to be turned on. The staff refused, citing cost and that it wasn’t worth it. Considering we spent about $50 per couple, it seems fair to expect a simple accommodation for an hour. If a customer has a genuine need, you should help. You never know someone’s situation. In the end, it’s about treating regular patrons with respect—and this experience was a real letdown.

We waited 10 minutes two bartenders two waitresses and nobody asked us for anything not even a hello and I even had a shirt on from the establishment so we’ll never be back. I’ll mail my shirt back to them and explain why with all of the small breweries closing they’ll be the next one.the bartenders were just standing doing nothing might I add this place deserves to close

Great bartenders with personality. Great beers. Best lunch specials in town on Tue, Wed, Thu. $12 for a pint of your choice and whatever the special is that day. Can't be beat. The smash burger is the bomb! Really nice outdoor seating area too with live music.

I have been coming here frequently for the last year and change and this is hands down one of the best places to eat and drink in Tarpon Springs! The staff are absolutely incredible every single visit and the food is outstanding. The people behind the counter and kitchen make this place an absolute must try. I’m literally here now and owe them the courtesy and kindness they represent on a consistent basis to me and every customer. I cannot recommend this place enough! Stop in and say hello to Miss Erin and crew they are amazing! Sponge City 💪

Great beer selection and fantastic live music! Even on a cold day, they moved the music inside and was such a talented and entertaining singer he matched the relaxing daytime vibe perfectly. 5 stars because of the boiled peanuts on the menu, my favorite!!!

The waffle fries were AMAZING! We can’t wait to go back and try more food. Good selection of beer. Wish we could have stayed to hear the music.

Great selection of beer! If you like IPAs they have good ones. The stout is very good. Food is also good!

Great beer and nice backyard to relax. We had beer cheese w waffle fries and buffalo chix, both were great

This is a really nice bar. I mean when the menu says stuffed Brie cheese , it had me at yum! The menu is great. Lots of choices and I love they have bratwurst. However, I take a way a star because the spot where you dance is covered with rocks. My friend wore heels and she could not keep her balance. So management, please put down a dancing green. Someone is going to get hurt. But it’s a very nice place and I recommend it. Just don’t wear heels!

Food was excellent, kids had a place to play and live music going. Also the clean bathroom was a big plus. Would gladly return.
