Food was and is great, the customer service needs a lot of retraining. Customer service sucks like they are cold and act like you are bothering them , I’ve been there a handful of times and each time especially at the drive thru the customer service was terrible, you are only seeing a customer for a few minutes if that. They can do better that’s probably why Taco Bell is busier

Everytime I go to this place it takes forever to get my food and worse, the people behind the counter are not only slow but rude. I refuse to go in here anymore. They never have regular chicken ready, they never have your order ready (if you ordered online), and they act like talking to you is beneath them. I’m over it. Goodbye Popeyes.

Slow and poor attitudes. The only time they move fast and quick is when the district manager is here and owner/corporate. However the lady that usually works the front counter that came from the store that closed down neat umatilla fl is awesome. Always a great attitude and very on top of getting things done. Very nice, polite, and well mannered.

Since I moved here about 2 years ago. This has became my local Popeyes and the several times I've been to this location . My food is either incorrect or one my daughter found blood in her chicken breast. Meaning it wasn't cooked all the way. So I stopped going for a while but today I order off the app three-piece à la carte. If you know the chicken's burnt and it's old why service to a customer. I will believe part of your job will be hey the chicken is going to be a little bit I'll get you fresh chicken. In the world of customer service it's sad that no matter what location you go to of a Popeyes. You truly don't know what you're going to get................. I pray for you guys and hope that other customers follow me by leaving you guys alone. It's not right you collect money and get paid to give attitude and give Incorrect and not even decent food

Worst service ever completely unprofessional. Throwing order at customer when it's done. And yelling at everyone. Never going back to this establishment again.

I never complain about anything so you know this is bad if im going this far. The lady that took my order in the drive thru was rude. I was then told to pull forward to wait on chicken and 30 minutes later I had to go inside and remind them I was out there. Horrible experience! December 6th 2024 about 530 pm

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Popeyes in Tavares over the past week, and their customer service was nothing short of disappointing. Here’s a breakdown of what happened:
1. Phone Etiquette and Inconsistent Instructions
When I called to inquire about placing an order for a turkey, the representative simply said I needed to order online and offered no further guidance. The phone greeting was also unprofessional—just “Hello” or “Popeyes”—with no warmth or proper introduction. Despite this, I decided to visit the store directly to place my order the next day.
2. Unlabeled Turkey Incident
At the store, they tried to sell me a turkey that didn’t have the proper Popeyes labeling. Even the associate agreed it looked suspicious and refused to sell it to me. She called her manager, whose loud and unprofessional response was essentially, “If it was delivered here, it’s ours.” After a lot of back and forth, I was told to come back or call the next morning to speak with another manager.
3. Online Ordering Issues
Reluctantly, I ordered online as instructed. However, the app was poorly designed and riddled with issues:
• The turkey was priced at $99 online versus $59 in-store.
• There was no tracking or updates for days.
• I wasn’t informed that online orders are fulfilled by a third party, which caused additional confusion when I called the store.
4. More Miscommunication and Rude Staff
When I followed up, I was repeatedly given contradictory and incomplete information. One associate told me to pick up my turkey in-store, while another rudely told me they didn’t have my order and asked why I paid so much. At this point, it became clear that staff were neither trained on the app nor equipped to assist customers properly.
5. Resolution at a Different Location
After days of being misled and inconvenienced, I finally contacted another Popeyes in Leesburg. Their service was exceptional—they reserved a turkey for me immediately.

Unfortunately, now I’m stuck trying to cancel my online order, which was updated too late to be useful for Thanksgiving.

Final Thoughts
Popeyes needs urgent improvements in:
• Staff training (especially on app orders and customer communication).
• Phone and in-store etiquette.
• Consistency in information and processes.

Thankfully, I found a solution through a different location, but the overall experience left a bitter taste. I’ll be hesitant to rely on Popeyes in the future unless major changes are made.

Yesterday, I went to Popeyes because my kids wanted it, and let me tell you, I’m beyond disappointed—completely over it. I get to the drive-thru, and this woman tells me to hold. Fine, I wait. Ten minutes go by before she even comes back on the intercom. I place my order: 6 wings, 3 tenders, and 2 sides of fries.

I pull up to the window, and this lady—braids, twists, whatever—doesn't greet me, doesn’t say hello, nothing. She just blurts out my total. As I’m reaching for my wallet, she gets impatient and repeats the total, louder this time, like I didn’t hear her the first time. If my two small kids weren’t in the car, trust me, I would’ve gone off right then and there. Instead, I just chuckled and handed her my card. She snatched it and slammed the window shut.

I wait another 10 minutes at the window, and then she tells me to pull around, saying she’ll bring the food out. Before I could even say, “You still have my debit card!” she shut the window again. Fine, I pull around.

A sweet young worker, clearly doing his best, brings someone else’s food out first and then tells me that the woman at the window said I didn’t complete my order. What?! How didn’t I complete my order when she gave me a total and took my card?! Furious, I walk into the restaurant to get my card back. I waited another 15 minutes for my food. When it finally came, I checked it—missing a side of fries, of course. I had to ask again.

I get home, fix my kids’ plates, and as soon as my daughter bites into her chicken, she screams! Why? Because this woman gave us spicy chicken! My kids can’t eat spicy food! This is what happens when workers don’t care about their jobs and just do whatever.

This woman needs a serious attitude adjustment. She held my debit card, messed up the order, gave me the wrong food, and had the nerve to act like it was all my fault. I watched her pack the order; she knew exactly what she was doing. If my kids weren’t with me, I swear I would’ve let her have it.

Next time, I won’t be so nice. Popeyes, if you know what’s good for you, check out this store, watch how this lady works, and fix it. Giving people the wrong food—especially spicy chicken for kids—is unacceptable. Do better!

The girl that waited on us was rude and had a smart aleck attitude. When asked how much. She stated she had already told us. That is just one of her poor comments. She does not help promote your services. She needs customer service training, bad!!
