Chenji Noodle House

Ok so I had the Szechuan chicken, orange chicken, and steamed dumplings. The prices are great especially for the portion sizes. Would’ve been 5 stars but the Szechuan chicken isn’t great, not spicy, almost no flavor at all. The orange chicken is very good and the dumplings are great. Take it for what you will.

We were just driving by and stopped for lunch. We really enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the place. It's been a long time since I got to enjoy Chinese food that much. We had traditional dishes, but they have soup experience in a family style bowl. Wish we had more time to enjoy that. Maybe another trip to Tampa.

I have two complaints - 1. I did not about this place when I lived in Jacksonville, they a location there. 2. I wish I didn't have to drive an entire 10 minutes to get here.

Nice quiet and clean, delicious food and great service! Perfect lunch spot - loved the dumplings, orange chicken and fried rice. Healthy amount of vegetables which is refreshing!

I got the steamed soup dumplings and general tso’s chicken with fried rice. The portions were great and fairly priced. The fried rice was super flavorful and fresh. I had enough left over for lunch. I will say the dumplings were a little over steamed, but the dumpling sauce was delicious. They also had a fair amount of soup in them, but definitely worth $6/half dozen.

Just back from trying Chen Ji for the first time. Have to say that expectations were exceeded for all three of us. We all tried Yunnan noodles with different broths so we could sample different flavors, all 3 were delicious. Also had soup dumplings that were served steaming hot as they should be. We all agreed that the experience was excellent, the food flavorful, the service good and that we would all return. Prices are very reasonable especially considering the large portion sizes.

Beautiful presentations with all the cute little dishes. They help you put everything in, very friendly service. We tried two different flavors for the noodles, both are super tasty. Will be back!
