Man this place has gone down the drain. We used to come here at least once a week a couple years ago and decided to come back with my wife and daughter last Friday. I remember this place being almost impossible to get into on a Friday night. It was literally empty inside (should’ve known right then) and we were on the patio outside. Our waitress was great and so were the drinks, but the food was unbelievably mid. The menu was also way smaller than it used to be. My burrito had a ton of rice and hardly any meat. Wife had a quesadilla and felt terrible all night after. We ordered the kids chicken quesadilla for my daughter and she wouldn’t eat it. I tried it myself and it was literally the most salty piece of food I’ve ever had in my life. You’re making this for children??? Wtf. Won’t be back again after that. El mezcal in Mount Dora and Rosa Mezcal in Eustis are 100x better.

I was craving Mexican food, so my parents and I visited this restaurant for lunch between 1-4 pm on a Thursday. It was the perfect time—the place was not crowded, with only about six booths occupied. I ordered three chicken enchiladas, my mother had a taco salad, and my father chose the #12 from the lunch menu. The prices were very reasonable.
The food arrived surprisingly quickly, and it was delicious. The service was exceptional throughout our visit. Since it was my birthday, we decided to share a dessert—the Mexican cheesecake—and it was absolutely fantastic!
Overall, everything was five stars in my opinion. I highly recommend this place for a tasty and enjoyable Mexican meal

Food is consistent. It's not the best Mexican you'll ever eat, but it is good. Service is fast and friendly. Can get busy at dinner time, but they move fast.

Very disappointing visit today. 4 of us came to eat and we ordered 4 margaritas as well. About 20 seconds after the server brought us our margaritas, another server came to our table with 4 more margaritas. We respectfully declined and stated the server already brought us our order as we pointed to the drinks in front of us. This server walked away with the margaritas and we continued on with our dinner. When it came time to pay, the check had the additional margaritas on it that we did not order. Assuming this was just a simple mistake, we politely alerted the server of the mistake on the check. She apologized and took our checks back to correct. A few minutes later, the manager whom I recognized to be the one who actually brought us the 2nd round of margaritas we did not order and declined came to our table insisting we did order the 2nd round and we accepted them. We all just stared at him in confusion for a few moments and insisted we did not. After going back and forth for a bit, the manager eventually ended his power trip and the check was corrected. This was a very bizarre and somewhat humiliating situation. After reading some other similar reviews on here I’m assuming this is just some rogue manager. We come here often and are not in the business to con this place out of free margaritas. It is doubtful we will return due to this bizarre experience. This place has cameras, if they doubted our truthfulness they could’ve spent 5 minutes reviewing the footage before coming to our table with this nonsense.

We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.

Ordered delivery for the first time tonight from our favorite local Mexican restaurant. I’m a traditional Chimichanga sort of person, but one evening in their restaurant, came across their “BROCHETAS” Described as a sizzling skillet of grilled steak or chicken, bacon, mushrooms, pineapple, onions and bell peppers, served with a side of tortillas. Loving all those ingredients, I knew I could break my tradition…and glad I did.
Muy Delisioso!!!

There are NO WORDS! The combination of tastes, the temp of the food, the quantity and quality of each person’s order… Sheer perfection!

We also ordered some queso and guacamole- Mmmmmm Mmmmmm!

Too bad I didn’t get pictures - the three of us were too busy eating in ecstasy.
