Unfortunately this formerly very nice restaurant has closed as of the beginning of January. It's has been taken over by a chain diner and is being remodeled. Sad to see the sunset on Sun- Rise

I love Darrell's Diner. Unfortunately this is not as large as some of their diners. I came with a party of 9 and they had to split us up. The wait time for us this morning ( Sunday) at 9:30 was 20 minutes which was not bad. After we were seated within a few minutes they took our drink order and after 5 minutes our drinks came out. Our order was taken after drinks were served and it was out under 10 minutes. The food is good, service is coming along since it a new restaurant. The servers were polite and eager to please.

My father's friend, who lives in The Villages, opens this place on Monday mornings--he literally walks in before sunrise! Good coffee, perfectly cooked eggs, and tasty bacon. Would definitely eat here again.

My husband and I just stumbled upon this restaurant and gave it a try. Incredible food and wonderful service. Restroom were super clean which is a big plus for me. Meet the owner and she was as nice as can be. Loved the Carolina omelette which was filled with spinach, tomato, mushrooms and cheese. Delicious! We highly recommend this incredible restaurant!

Staff be more friendly like they want to be there to serve the public not like they are forced to be there. From the front door greeting to us leaving the staff were very infriendly. I tried to use my dine out card which is for a stomach surgery the surgeon gave me which states please allow me to choose off the kiss menu or the 65 and older menu and the refused. The manager did not care and both the manager and waitress tried to get me to order off the Ala Carte Menu but that would have been more expensive. My husband omelet was like it was a fried eggs flipped over and the ham onions green peppers placed inside then folded over like a taco. It was not good. Just an unpleasant experience and we will not be back. Rude staff more service and unpleasant food is the reasons.

BLT with egg on top sandwich. Very tasty. Sour dough bread was my choice and very happy with that. Finally a cafe with good coffee!

Worth the trip to visit, the food, the service and servers make it worth every penny. Dining area is a bit small but worth the wait, if there is one.

Update : Bean and ham soup, split pea soup, pumpernickel sandwiches and fresh fruit. I just love this place. First time here and I loved it. Had the Avacado Benedict, awesome. Happy people all around. Can't wait to try the other menu items.
