1st time at Steak and Shake. I liked the order process, and having to scan for drinks. I have to say for a chain burger and fries, I found the meal had a great flavor. Would recommend this chain, it's much better than McDonald's, Burger King.

There were very few people in the restaurant and I can understand why. Soda machine had no ice and no one was in a hurry to fill it. We ordered through the kiosk and it asked for a tip. If I am doing everything but the cooking then I am not tipping. Order came out wrong, missing bacon,pickles,lettuce and condiments. I wouldn't recommend this place if things don't change.
First time ever in a Steak 'n Shake. I wanted to try the fries cooked in beef tallow. What a disappointment. It was over priced for what it is. The burger wasn't much bigger than a slider and the fries were shoestring, which isn't my favorite. I couldn't tell any difference in the taste of the fries either. We almost left because of the kiosk, it took us a good 15-20 minutes to understand exactly how it was set up and then find what we wanted and no one offered any assistance. We did get a couple dumb looks so.. there is that. 👍 After we finally figured it out I had a burger combo and Mom had a bowl of chili, onion rings and a drink. I think it was $27-28 total and we were both still hungry afterwards. We should have eaten at the Golden corral next door. You have to scan your receipt on the drink machine to activate it to work which is a pretty good idea. I've seen people come in off the street and fill their cups with soda and leave at Taco Bell and Burger King recently. Otherwise the place was nice and clean but we'll likely never eat at another Steak n' Shake. I honestly don't know why anyone does. Maybe they have good shakes, I don't know.

Horrible!!!!!! Nothing like it use to be. They don’t make the sandwiches like it’s supposed to be. Taste quality is bad and food is cold to luke warm. For example, I ordered the garlic steak burger, in which I always get, the bun is supposed to be topped with the garlic sauce just as displayed on menu, but they now only put it on top of the meat.
