DeRusso's (or Marco's as we still refer to it) is a gem on Tierra Verde and surrounding. A solid and reliable experience with good pizza (request "very" well done and double cut) apps (meatballs and garlic knots), subs, salads, dinners and more. They have a bar and small dine-in area that is cozy and convenient and don't forget, they deliver!! ??

Delicious pizza, with a nice, thin and crispy crust, a salty sauce, and a very high quality cheese. Definitely recommended for the pizza itself. The service is a bit annoying as they don't want people inside waiting for their pizza, but then you're left outside wondering when your pizza is going to be done, and poking your head in to check.

Our visit and experience was exceptional. The food is authentic Italian cuisine that is both hot and delicious. Our servers were on top of it with food delivery and refills. Got to give kudos to the chef(s) as our meals were well seasoned, tasty, and hot. These are the small family owned businesses that deserve our patronage. Enjoy!
The garlic knots will make you feel like Jesus coming down from the cross. I never knew they could be that good? I raptured a highly decent calzone into the safety of my stomach as well. Bless this place.

Finding good pizza in Florida is a never ending quest. Particularly if you're from NJ which has some really spectacular pizza joints. DeRusso's is from NY, so they know a good pie. It's a little bit thicker than I like, but it's got good flavor and they don't use crappy ingredients. Sauce is always nice and a little bit sweet. Cheese is of good quality as well. I'm good for a medium pie with peppers and onions. It's good for sure!
