Pizzitalia's NY Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant - Tampa is a cute little Italian restaurant with excellent food. The food is a 10, authentic, made to order, and the servings are quite large. The pricing is fair, and the specials are amazing. The pizza is pretty good, and the Alfredo is really good. The steak pizza is good, with tasty marinara. The chicken florentine is very tender with lots of cheese, artichokes, and a little spinach served over a very good lemon sauce. The pasta and clams feature clams served in the shell, a really nice touch. The tiramisu is probably the best in Tampa. Don't miss out on those delicious garlic knots! The sides of soup and garlic knots are plentiful. However, the pasta with broccoli is SWIMMING in oil, and the hoagie/Italian sandwich is a joke with one small piece of meat in a huge roll. The service can be friendly and fast, but sometimes slow and lacking, with only one waitress. The atmosphere is fine, with traditional red and white tablecloths. It is a hidden gem.
