Top level customer service and a taste that has to be tasted. As a foodie from New Orleans I tend to have higher expectations in service and taste and SO7 excels in every category. I’ve only been able to eat at around 30 or so restaurants in the few months I’ve lived here and SO7 has topped the all. Chef paul killing it behind the flames and the guys up front taking care of service from top to bottom. The crème de la crème in my book is the refreshing central AC. Nobody likes sweat dripping into your food after working all day and good AC is hard to come by in the lower keys. It’s my go to after work dinner and drinks. Pleasant experience all around.

This place is great! I did not expect just how good it would be. The chef is top notch. The evening I was there he was trying out a Curried Potato soup… excellent!!! He prepared a Black Grouper With Blue Crab that was amazing.Topped it off with a Chocolate Olde Fashioned. What a great meal. Excellent service and a fun patio setting.

Stopped in for a nice dinner while on vacation was told a 25 minute wait for a near empty restaurant went to the bar for a drink bartenders barely acknowledged our presence got seated ordered food got our salads after 20 minutes another 20 minutes after salad plates were cleared our dinners showed up my ribeye was burnt on one end and rare on the other end which is how ordered mentioned to waitress but wasn't interested in waiting for another steak left what was not edible waited another 20 minutes after declining dessert for bill to show up paid the bill tipped the waitress 18% mentioned to the manager on the way out the cook should be ashamed for the food he cooked I'm not looking for a free meal but manager said I should've said something which I did and was never passed on and then shushed me out the door I was not rude didn't swear just made a comment again not looking for something for nothing

Staying at hotel next to SOT7 and ordered takeout on 2-22 at around 6:50. Went to pick up order which I saw sitting there behind the counter and the hostess looked at the takeout and went back to the kitchen for at least 20 minutes keeping me waiting. Long story short she eventually came back out and gave the order to me with no explanation, no apology. nothing. I brought back to hotel with cold lasagna and soup. Asked for utensils and got 2 forks ( soup!).Be wary of this place with employees like this.

We had the most amazing dinner at South of the Seven in the Florida Keys last night 🌴✨ Chef Paul and his wife Kris have been dear family friends for years, and it’s always so special to visit them and enjoy their incredible hospitality. Although we miss them in Safety Harbor, it's always such a treat to visit them here in Sugarloaf💕 The food was, as always, outstanding— our boys devoured the tomahawk steak and chocolate cake 😍 and we loved every bite of our meals. (My fav is the grouper collars in Buffalo sauce! Mitchel got his long awaited duck wings) It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a place to make memories. Something we enjoy each year 🥰 If you’re ever in the Keys, this gem is a must-visit! Thank you, Chef, for another unforgettable evening. 💙

Sorry Karen, I mean Kelli, have to disagree. Food was great, had an appetizer and split a main course. Food was prepared well with suble flavoring, sauce was great. Service was prompt, but not annoying. Drinks were on point. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there, highly recommend

We ordered four appetizers for two of us and they were unremarkable. The presentation was lacking on all four plates. I think this place tries to market itself as something it's not. The menu is not cohesive. When I have a chef and not a kitchen manager running a place I expect better. Service was super slow despite a small number of tables. Drinks were also just okay. There wasn't a single item I could rave about. I'm really glad we didn't spend money on some of their bigger ticket menu items given how underwhelming our meal was. I'd consider going back because value seemed fair given the price of everything else in the Keys. Just don't go expecting a great culinary experience. It's a missed opportunity. I hope they find who they are and start executing at a higher level.

We were very disappointed with are dinner. I had the filet mignon which came out to raw and came in two pieces, I asked them to replace the steak and they brought me out another steak, That was well done and I wanted it medium well I made sure I told the server I wanted it light pink. When a customer sends more then half of a $55 filet mignon back and doesn’t eat it or box it up that tells you right there that the customers not happy I told my server I wasn’t happy but yet they still had me pay for a $55 steak.
My aunt ordered the yellowtail with crab stuffing no flavor and mushy. All the meals practically come with the same side items.
Not worth the money

Bartender and drinks were awesome. I was here two years ago and fell in love with the Korean bbq. I was so excited to be there for my birthday and wanted that meal. Very disappointed the quality and flavor had drastically changed. Maybe the head chef needs to be back in the kitchen and not at the bar socializing. I'm not one to complain usually. If you read this. I'm 2.6 miles away for the next month. Let me know if you want to try to fix my opinion.
