Holy Guacamole — This Place Is Nacho Average Mexican Spot! To get to the main event: the quesadilla. Oh. My. Guac. This wasn’t just the best quesadilla I’ve ever had — it was quite possibly the pinnacle of human culinary achievement. The tortilla was golden, crisped to perfection with just the right amount of buttery char. And inside? A molten lava flow of cheese so rich and gooey it could’ve been declared a national treasure. Add to that the perfectly seasoned meat (I went with the chicken, but I suspect any option would be un-burrito-ble) and a side of their homemade salsa that added just the right kick — I was completely cheesed off… in the best way possible. I was also thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail — the tortillas tasted freshly made, the toppings were thoughtfully layered, and even the slaw had crunch and flavor that made each bite nacho run-of-the-mill. Service? Absolutely en-taco-ging. Friendly, fast, and full of great recommendations! If you’re looking for a place that delivers on authenticity, flavor, and an all-around good time, this restaurant really tortilla new one! In short: • Best quesadilla ever? Check. • Amazing tacos? Check. • Left in a state of blissful food coma? Absolutely. • Would I go back? You bet your guac I would. Do yourself a favor and get your taco-loving self to this place. It’s nacho something you want to miss.
Very good food, at reasonable prices. You will not leave hungry!!
I love this place. I fly in from Arkansas just to have the tortilla soup! And the tamales are fantastic!
#1!!!
The best tacos and salad we have ever eaten! Queso Poblano is an exceptional tasting cheese dip! Pork tacos are lovely, smoked flavor! Salsa’s are so very fresh and the chips are delicious! The portion sizes are excellent! Service is very friendly! It is a pleasure to relax and enjoy a very tasty lunch! If you get the opportunity to experience Guaco Taco you will be impressed and definitely come back for more! Have a blessed day! Thank you

Let me start off by saying that we really wanted to like this place. So much that we withheld our second visit there for my lady’s bday. The first time we went, we walked in-no one at the counter-no signs of what to do-5 minutes pass- we bounce. Just felt weird.
The visit today felt equally weird, with the exception of the hostess/cashier being at the counter ready for action. However the first thing she says is “have you ever been here before?!” To which we reply no. She then goes onto explain every single process to us to the detail of where we need to stand when we are ordering, haha. It felt like a tour for out-of town investors or someone who has never been to a restaurant before. Just felt like if they had a couple simple signs- it would help her from having to explain in such depth to every customer that comes in. Seems draining and very inefficient.
Fast forward to the food.. we ordered chicken street tacos and a burrito. The food almost beat us to the table as we sat down. I was weary at that point. However, the food looked fairly fresh. However I tell you openly and honestly that it lacked 100% of the flavor. Like, I literally thought I had covid for a second. Not to be rude but the chicken looked/tasted stewed and had zero seasoning. They put a generous amount of the chicken on the items so it’s impossible to miss the absent flavor. The salsa had charred tomato skin mixed throughout (typically charred veggies are sweated after and skin removed). The first thing I said was “I don’t taste anything” (about the salsa). I thought maybe that they’ve forgotten to use basic seasoning ? or something of the sort. They also only give a TINY serving of the salsa. Maybe 2 tablespoons MAX. The chips are claimed to be homemade but look/taste like Tostitos bagged chips. I would be surprised if they weren’t.
I originally ordered a small cup of Poblano Queso. But when the girl showed me the cup size (the size of the free cups they give near the drink machines at Chipotle) and told me that it was $5.95 for that size, I quickly declined. Thanks Biden! (Jk)
And finally at the end of the meal, the only trash can in the back was next to a busser’s cart. I saw one table leave their stuff and another table bus their own. So we just went ahead and bussed our own to get this meal over with.
Most definitely won’t be coming back. Simply based on flavor.
((Side Notes- I won’t bore you with the exploded/soggy burrito shell scenario. But the last thing is I personally think it’s weird to ask for a tip if I am ordering while standing up. JUST SAYING))

I had the pleasure of dining here for a casual Tuesday lunch. I do not eat pork, beef, chicken, and minimal fish and they had several vegetarian and vegan options. I chose the jackfruit burrito and it was good, although I think the jackfruit could be improved with in its flavor (reason for the four star food review). They also skimped pretty hard on the amount of salsa and I had to request additional salsa two separate times (reason for the four star service review). I think there is greater potential, which is why I want to give it a five star overall review to enhance its rating and searchability, but do have those comments as feedback.
Vegetarian options: I had the jackfruit burrito, which was vegan.

Was pretty disappointed in the chicken burrito. Size of the burrito wasn’t an issue, it’s a fairly large burrito, but there just seemed to be zero flavor in the burrito. Very bland, however the chips and salsa were really good.

Guaco Taco deserves five stars for finally bringing authentic mexican food to this area. A fresh, flavorful, fiesta for the tastebuds is how I will describe our lunch street taco plate. Two overflowing tacos on corn tortillas, well seasoned chicken on one, steak the other, with corn chips, salsa, rice and beans. More than enough to share. The service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.

My favorite spot north of Eglin! One of the few spots in the panhandle serving fresh, authentic Mexican food. 10/10

I loved this restaurant .This is very authentic Mexican food and popping with flavor. Literally overflowing with mouth watering steak as well as toppings. I was greeted by the owner / cook whom was very friendly. He made sure the meal as well as my experience at guaco taco were to my satisfaction.
So I read a review that said the food had no flavor and I’m thinking the woman whom said this must of had covid (hints no taste buds).
Parking: Directly in front of the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: Owner as well as crew were very friendly and welcoming.

If I can give it a 0 star I would. As a Mexican this food was disgusting and flavorless. I got the carne asada plate and the meat was bland with no flavor whatsoever. The food is definitely not worth over $15. Never again will I come here. Please don't waste your money here thinking you will be getting authentic food. Looks like there is only 1 person in the back "cooking" the food yet the food is ready in 5 minutes... makes me wonder if they are even cooking it or if it's already ready and they are just pulling food from there. The chips were STALE! AND THE AMOUNT OF salsa that they give you is a joke. Don't waste your money here

Do not waste your money! This place is trash. Absolutely no seasoning or flavor for either dish. The sides are tiny and are also very bland. The amount of salsa they give you is no joke a thimble amount. We asked for more and were given another thimble sized amount and then were told they have been having to throw away their salsa??? (It wasn’t very good either so that’s probably why) Oh and you have to buss your own table. A total waste of $15. Zero stars in food quality, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend going elsewhere.
