Bruster's Real Ice Cream

Do not go here. Stingy with scoops and when I asked to rescoop bc there was barely any I got a served with a bad attitude and no help. If you wanna pay $6 for a scoop and get treated with a bad attitude go for it.

The best ice cream!

Bought three different ice creams for three people and we threw them all out. I’m not sure this meets the legal definition of ice cream. Airy and artificial tasting. Not good.

I recently visited Bruster’s Ice Cream – Valrico, FL and had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in (or drove up), I was greeted by friendly staff who were enthusiastic and helpful. The store has a warm, welcoming vibe and spotlessly clean facilities.

The ice cream itself is top-tier — they handcraft fresh flavors daily, and it shows. I tried the Birthday Cake and Sea Salt Caramel flavors, each scoop was creamy, rich, and full of real flavor. Their waffle cones were crisp and freshly baked. I also appreciated that they offer non-dairy oat milk flavors and no-sugar-added options, making it easy for everyone to find something delicious.

What stood out most was the service. The staff took the time to explain flavor options, offered generous samples, and made sure each order was perfect. They handled the ordering process efficiently, even during busier times, which made the visit smooth and enjoyable.

In short: beautiful ambiance, outstanding ice cream, friendly and attentive staff — this location of Bruster’s is a gem. I’ll absolutely be returning and recommending it to friends and family. If you’re in Valrico and craving something sweet and satisfying, don’t skip this spot!

Today I had the Apple Pie flavor, yum! They always have the best ice cream.

Ordered online, which prints a receipt in the store so they can read the order and make the order… We picked it up and took it home to discover that three out of the five ice creams were either the wrong size or wrong toppings. Disappointing

Brusters has one poor girl working the store all by herself. Drive through, walk up and pick up.

Waiting 30+ minutes for ice cream is not cool.

I have never left a poor review or any type of review at all on anything but there were 3 minors working without any manager and I had a poor experience. Terrible ice cream terrible everything

Whether it’s me and my family or just me and my daughter, we ALWAYS look forward to coming here! Such a large variety of different delicious ice creams. The staff is always friendly. Not to mention, the drive thru is always so convenient especially when I have tired babies in the car that just want a scoop.
The real reason why I’m writing this review is because I LOVE the strawberry mango sorbet and I found out today that it was seasonal. I literally crave one every-time I pick up my daughter from school and to find out it’s not going to be around long is sad! It’s so perfectly refreshing for the summer time, especially in Florida being that it’s hot all year long, so to have it for just a month isn’t enough time to really enjoy it! And I’m honestly surprised with how popular that chili lime strawberry mango flavor is for it not to be around longer. I hope that changes.. but despite that, Brusters definitely has a forever customer in me! 10/10

The portion size of the ice cream was disappointingly small, and I could taste the flavor of the ice cream scoop ordered before me in my scoop. This clearly shows they don’t wash their scoopers between servings, which is both unprofessional and unhygienic. As someone who is lactose intolerant, the serving was so tiny that it didn’t even affect me—an unfortunate indicator of just how little ice cream they serve. This wasn’t our first bad experience; the same issue happened during our last visit, but we decided to give them one more chance. Sadly, nothing has improved. My “Death by Chocolate” flavor tasted more like “Mildly Liked by Chocolate.” This used to be my favorite spot for quality ice cream, but under the new management, it’s lost all its appeal. We won’t be coming back.
