The first time my husband brought me to this bar/restaurant I was extremely worried because at first glance it reminds me of a hole in the wall kind of place in upstate ny that you knew was going to give you food poisoning. Once we entered I began to think the worse but after the male waiter came up to our table, introduced himself and gave us recommendations of what his favorite meals were on the menu I decided to go with the mussels which were by far one of the best mussels dishes I have ever eaten. The waiter reassured us that they were always fresh and not frozen and I have to say I definitely couldn’t tell if they were frozen because the seasoning on them was to die for! I do wish they gave you more than just mussels and bread. My husband got their wings which were so crispy, not greasy and the sauce tasted delicious. Let’s just say he ate every single one. Tonight we decided to give them another chance but to go. I ordered the Salmon dish and my husband got the buffalo flat bread. The drive from our house to the restaurant is about 10-15 mins with traffic and by the time we got home I figured the food would be slightly warm but instead it was sooo HOT I had to wait to eat it which made me like this place even more than I already had like it! The salmon dish was so FN delicious I probably said OH MY GOSH with every bite or mMMMMMmmm this is soo GOOD. I even did a little tippy toe dance because every bit got better and better! Even my husband started eating it with me and we ended up splitting our meals. I will say his flat bread pizza was also fantastic I just wish it had homemade breaded chicken over prepared frozen bites even though that were still so very yummy! Just after how well all the food taste and so fresh I figured their breaded chicken would have been maybe prepared homemade chicken breast like a chicken cutlet that they tossed in buffalo and then diced it on top. Either way I’ll be returning again to get the mussels, the salmon dish or maybe trying something I haven’t tried yet because I’m almost sure I’m going to LOVE IT and want to keep coming back! Definitely give JF kicks a 10 out of 10!

I came here for fish on Fridays and I was impressed with the quality of the food. Everything was hot and well seasoned. Dayna was our waitress and she was exceptional in every way.

Samantha was our bartender for the evening on the patio....and she great! It was super crowded, had a good band and we watched her as she serviced all customers with no wait time. It was incredible!

We arrived at lunch time on Sunday (today). The patio was busy but the inside was at maybe 50% capacity. Our server, Emily, was great - except for the Packers shirt 😉. The food took entirely too long to arrive. The flatbread was barely warm and the cheese was cool. The grouper sandwich was also barely warm and I had to request the tartar sauce it was supposed to come with. Overall, a disappointing experience given that they've been around for many years.

Incidentally, although it has no bearing on me personally, the ADA compliance is not up to par, from parking to the men's restroom.

Great service. A loal place which is much better than a chain place. Fish and chips were delicious as well as the chicken tenders. Katie our server was fantastic and prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Better watch your credit card. Our bill was a little over 35.00 which included a 7.00 dollar tip, got charged on my statement 65.00.
Put it in dispute and was told to take it up with the restaurant.

Great local Bar

Very friendly staff, great service and the live music was amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be returning the next time I’m in town.

Absolutely fantastic experience at JF Kicks in Valrico! The service was top-notch—friendly, fast, and attentive. The food was delicious, with generous portions and great flavor, and the drinks were perfectly made and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming—great energy all around. The highlight of the night was the Johnny and Friends band on the patio—so talented and entertaining! They really brought the place to life. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
