Sunflower Cafe Inc

The place is small and packed so we always order here for pick up. Everything is freshly prepared and freshly cooked. Big portions of sashimi and great quality. No fishy smell. We love their salmon love it (sashimi), hibachi and specialty rolls.
The servers have good attitude. The owner is very nice and sweet.
Highly recommended!

Over the years I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this establishment. I’ve been going to this restaurant for 7 years. I’m sad to say that the service quality has gone down tremendously. It seems that they are more concerned with their to go orders than they are with the folks sitting in the Restaurant. During my most recent visit tonight, I waited for over an hour (1hr 10min to be exact), for a simple hand roll, special roll, and chicken hibachi. Meanwhile, people were coming in and out of the restaurant picking up there to go orders. I asked a few of the patrons picking up their orders, “How long ago did you order your food?” The answers I got were 30/45 minutes - with multiple bags and styrofoam trays at that, but not one waited the hour that me and my wife had sat and waited for our food. Worse yet, the hot humid air from outside drafted into the corner where we sat, as if to mock us, each of the many times yet another person came in to pick up their orders. As much as I have loved this spot for the last 7 years, I’m not too sure that I’ll be coming back anytime soon….

But thanks for the 10% discount ($4.26) for the inconvenience.

The service was kind and attentive, and food arrived quickly, but those from the west coast, or anyone expecting authentic Japanese cuisine would likely be disappointed. The beef yakisoba came with overcooked, soggy noodles, a sauce heavy with sugar and cornstarch, and cubed medium-rare steak instead of the expected sliced beef. The tuna roll was especially concerning, dark in color with a strong iron taste, suggesting poor quality or improper handling. Portion sizes were generous, but overall, the food did not justify the price
