Restaurant in the downtown with a New England vibe. Can dine inside or in a covered outdoor area (very temperate in the fall/winter months). Lots of New England themed menu items including haddock and some land based offerings. Had the lobster bomb special which was a bread bowl of lobster bisque with large chunks of lobster stacked on top. It was a decent dish; the haddock was nothing out of the ordinary, nor were the sides, but it was a serviceable dinner and we all left full.
My friend and I popped into Burgundy Square Café for a quick bite during the craft fair in Venice this weekend. I'd actually been before—once for breakfast after the sunrise Easter service on the beach—and it’s just such a sweet, family-run place with reliably good food.\n\nFun fact: they’re apparently famous for their lobster! They even placed in the World Lobster Championship held in Maine (yes, that’s a real thing—and quite an achievement!). Word on the street...
Average (at best) Diner Food. 2nd visit in 3 years but thought we would give it a second chance. Fish and Chips & Haddock Dinner, Fish was breaded as opposed to traditional batter type and over cooked till dry. Fries were large wide type but barely warm and empty inside. Sorry but don't understand the hype here. Atmosphere was Diner like inside. Service was good but we ordered a drink and like to enjoy it before ordering. Waitress came 3 times asking if we were ready...
