“Jeremy the host was very welcoming and explained the difference between the dining room upstairs and the tavern/bar downstairs. This was our first visit and he suggested upstairs. We were sat at a lovely table outside overlooking the water. Our waitress Becky was very attentive professional and pleasant. The food did take longer than expected but overall the quality was very good.”

“Fantastic meal, will come again- Joelle took wonderful care of us, and went above and beyond to curate a tremendous dining experience. Yummy colada for my Mom, with fresh lime juice and delicious. We had the Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer, which was superb and were as good as I’ve ever had. Fresh, sizable, hot, and delicious. Flavors were second to none and I could’ve easily ordered a dozen or two of these and been more than satisfied with nothing else. My mom had the blackened Mahi tacos- flavoring was perfect, and the portion was not skimpy. I had crab cakes and scallops - To say I’ve NEVER had better is not an understatement- There is ZERO unnecessary filler in these. Lump crab meat, with the lightest crust ever. Flaky and so tender. The scallops were plump, fresh, and lightly golden. My son had the grouper kids meal, fried to perfection. He has now retired traditional fish sticks in his life, at least wherever fresh grouper bites are available! My daughter had a tummy ache, and the kitchen gave her an ‘off menu’ request of butter and marinara on fettuccini. She felt good enough through the meal to join in on the key lime pie and chocolate cake! The only thing I would have changed is traded the cool whip (I presume) for fresh whipped cream. 10/10, good value and the freshest most delicious food. Great views, and the place was clean and well ran. Kris, the GM, stopped by and chatted with us for a few minutes, and we had just glowing feedback for him. Cook, server, hostess, and staff all over delivered !”

“If you truly you want to taste of Cuba brought to your table, then go straight to Belkis, she has such passion for her food and her cooking, she brings the spirit of Cuba and her ancestors with her she oking all over again. She's been gone for quite some time now. But I can tell you my grandmother was born and raised in Cuba and left right before Fidel took control. When I tell you she has the best Cuban food and the best and most authentic, it is 100%. You can't get any better than Belkis! We have a lot of Mexican food here but she's the only true Cuban food, if you want the flavor of Cuba to come home to your dinner table or your lunch time goes to see Belkis on the island, she's right between the car wash and the old hospital, the gas station right there that it's on island itself walk-in make a right. And there she is cooking in her kitchen!(She was able to survive 2020 in the months in between by herself without help! She was open and ready to serve you at a moment's notice!) She was never closed once, and she does a lot to help the community! She is truly a gem in Venice and a staple! She reminds me so much of my Cuban grandmother, from cuba. She has that nothing can knock me down attitude keeps going. But mostly she puts so much love and caring into preparing every meal, when you want real food. That's not an assembly line and only uses the freshest of ingredients! No need to think twice go ahead and go, as a man that stands behind his word! I will gladly put my name behind hers

Vegetarian options: With all the vegetables she uses when she cooks, she can prepare your traditional Cuban food without meat. It's like asking your grandmother or your own mother to cook you a meal . She can customize anything to your liking

Dietary restrictions: She cooks everything from scratch so just ask her, and she will cook you any kind of Cuban food you would like. She will customize any order with no charge

Parking: More than enough parking, it's on the Venice island, and it actually stands on its own little baby Island what the gas station. There is always parking no matter what and very close parking

Kid-friendliness: Not only is a kid-friendly it's family-friendly! When you eat there you are family. Even if you eat there once your family for life

“Great meal from start to finish! Our waitress, Marina, was very attentive and pleasant. Grilled Cesar salad was fresh and crisp and had just enough char for taste. Steaks and rack of lamb were cooked appropriately and seasoned well. Stuffed Branzino (a special) and black grouper were fresh and tasty. Desserts did not disappoint. Delicious! We'll be back!”

“We visited for the first time today while in the area. Always heard to check the restroom to know what a restaurant really is like lol. Well I had to and found it to be very clean and smelled clean and fresh. On to our meal. I totally enjoyed the whole belly clams meal with a delicious slaw and subbed corn on the cob for the fries as I typically don’t eat fries. Those clams were wonderful, large juicy and flavorful. The corn was fresh and sweet and the slaw was perfect to my taste. I enjoyed a sangria with my meal. Enjoyed every bite. My husband is a self proclaimed oyster aficionado, he ordered a dozen raw on the half shell. He proclaimed them to be perfect. He was impressed that they were fresh, plump, and sufficiently briny. He really enjoyed them fully. He also had the red beans and rice meal along with a beer and said it was good food. So thumbs up Shuck N Ale. We had to be there for a doctor visit that took us 45 minutes to drive there to Venice, but hubby says it’s worth a drive that long to come for the food anytime. See you again! By the way the staff were friendly and the food was delivered promptly so thumbs up for that as well. The music was just beginning as we were leaving.”

Plus, they are one of the few Chinese restaurants in town that offers a poo poo platter. If you’re looking for a charming environment to eat in, this is not the place. This is more for people that are looking for quality Chinese food that’s either takeout or delivery.”

“Take-out restaurant on Mercado drive. The food is excellent. Service is very good. My favorite is General Tsao’s Chicken. It’s very close to NY Chinese food which is the best in the country. Everything I’ve had there has been very good.”

“If you like Chicago Pizza this is the place. We are used to eating Thin Crust Pizza with lots of Italian Sausage. Well we found it here. Reminds me of the pizza we used to get in Tinley Park, Illinois. Possibly the Best Pizza in all of Florida. The only downside is that we live in Arcadia and they are an hour away .. but we'll worth the drive.”

Jim and his professional team has created an amazing environment with extremely delicious appetizers and entrees in that fashion. The beer is cold, the wine is quality and the cocktails are made to perfection. With chef Josh in the kitchen the presentation and taste of every entree is priceless. Regardless if you live here in beautiful Venice or visiting our lovely community Sands comes highly recommend from me and my family and friends!

“What an unexpected delight! Delicious fish and loved that they had malt vinegar with it! A little disappointed they served steak fries instead of English chips but everything was excellent. Wish we had more nights to try some of the other English dishes. The Ole Smoky Old fashioned was also superb. And what a fun way to present with the burnt cedar. Better than our Wisconsin old fashioned. ?. We will definitely return next winter.”

I complained to the hostess who took off our coffees. The waitress apologized for serving the other couple first. She didn't understand that we had waited an additional 20 minutes to PLACE our order. I never complain, I've been wait staff. The wait staff there has always been fabulous until today. She is clueless.”

“Great amazing shop. Always get the turkey wrap with pepperoni and it is phenomenal every single time. Going here and getting a wrap is a part of the weekly beach routine. Prices are so fair and it is so refreshing to see a shop charging fair prices. Wrap is under $10. Everyone please stop and visit this fantastic shop while you’re in town. She was very experienced and accommodating ....I would say she is a super good valuble employee that cares about the resturants customers. “I go to Cracker Barrel more than any other sit down restaurant. I am comfortable there. I enjoy all of their meals. The staff are always friendly even when they can be very busy. I was in 2 nights ago just before the dinner rush. Everything was great, my server was quick and efficient and every time I check out one of the cashiers recognizes me. She gave me a good hug yesterday. I will continue to patronize them.”
