We got our bill and they tacked on a 10.30% tax. The taxes around this area are only at seven percent. The server did not know why that was. I won’t eat anywhere I feel that the

This is by far the worst Mexican food I've ever tasted.... Please close this place down. they are a disgrace to Mexican food, They should be embarrassed to call this Mexican food.
Great service and food. Ownership is awesome.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal here Friday night. Atmosphere is clean and modern. The owner Isel and his son Angelo gave attentive service. Delicious food and great margaritas. We will be back.

My Bistek Tampico was portioned perfectly with 2 pieces of marinated steak with perfect grilled onions and green peppers and the 2 enchiladas. My wife dish was a miss with pineapple on the rock, flavor has Italian flavor with it

Chips n salsa were stale.
The brisket tacos tasted very dry and burnt..like as if it was sitting all day under a burner. Not fresh at all. Kinda felt sick after.
The waiter was very polite and friendly. The restaurant was dead at 4 in the afternoon, which initially seemed suspicious. Itβs a shame the place had good reviews. Not coming back.

I asked the owner what was fresh today and he said nothing and that they cook everything days in advance nowadays and that restaurants in this area don't serve fresh food anymore. I said well can you make guacamole fresh and he agreed to do table-side guacamole. We decided that the closest thing he had that could be made fresh was a shrimp burrito...so I agreed to have them make a shrimp burrito for me with rice, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and salsa. The burrito was terrible (muerde) and the shrimp were fishy tasting. This is especially strange because Detwilers is located directly across the street and Detwilers has a fantastic seafood market that sells fresh fish and shrimp. My burrito came with a tablespoon of rice on the side and I had an ice tea...total cost for this lunch without a tip was a whopping $45...I got ripped off and now I'm sick over it. I could have bought 11 whole roasted chickens at Costco for the same price as this small burrito...do yourself a favor and stay away from this place its a rip-off and the food is not fresh...
The food is very, very good, they also sell (Manzana postobon) one of my favorite drinks. There's also room to sit down and have a nice meal or go on a date, at the same time it's also a nice place you can go to as a family with your kids. Every single person who worked there was extremely friendly, and I had a customer order. Not very hard. I just wanted rice and chicken will salsa on the side. Those little plastic containers with the little plastic lid, for example, there are the things that you would get when you ask for a side of cheese or salsa they give out at restaurants they're called ramekins. Just thought I'd share that little tidbit, overall great food authentic Mexican cuisine. Definitely would recommend, also if you're looking for something quick like I was at the time, it's a good place for that as well. I'm pretty sure that I saw the doordash sign on their window when I went in. So technically, they do deliver. Prices are going up like crazy everywhere I go, but they still have reasonable prices, thank goodness. Just want to say thank you again to the staff. They were very accommodating.
Parking: Plenty of parking you'll have zero issues finding a spot.
Kid-friendliness: Traditional Mexican Cuisine with traditional Mexican family values.
Wheelchair accessibility: They are in compliance and up to city code with what is required for the businesses to operate in Sarasota, they're up-to-date with their wheelchair accessibility in handicap parking. They meet the county state requirements

Food is not consistent. One night I came - the tableside guac and my tacos were amazing, went again to take someone else and bragged how yummy it was, but we were disappointed. Restaurant is loud so be ready.
