I had dined previously at Longet when it was located on Miami Avenue and it was excellent. I returned this weekend with a friend to the new location on Venice Avenue. It was exceptional. We were greeted by Gisele, a long-time friend and an excellent wait staff - Personable, Professional, Efficient!!! We were not rushed at all. It’s a lovely vibe, however the service leaves something to be desired… it felt like the server was being fake nice the entire time? Idk… it also felt to me like she didn’t really know what she was doing. The champagne was delicious and the octopus carpaccio was very good as well. Beet salad was underwhelming.. the beets were sliced so small and hardly any goat cheese. The special pistachio crusted lamb chops were good but I’m not sure why I just wasn’t blown away....

Longet is the BEST. My favorite place to eat in Venice, and one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. The service is excellent, and the food is top notch. As good as it gets. The whole dining experience was divine (except I ate too much….OY!).
