Saw this place on our way to Lowe's and all knew we had to go back that way for lunch. So glad we did! Everything was delicious! Came out super hot and fresh and the service was amazing!! They cut up out sons hotdog for him since he loves it that way. Awesome place! We will be back for sure with our parents.

You know what I've been thinking about my experience here. We had vacationed in Venice a couple years in a row and as vegetarians we really loved Mad Dogs and appreciated the options. The food was really good and it was so nice to have vegetarian hotdogs and chili. However, the last time we went there the lady working there made it much less of a happy experience. I was ordering some sort of chili dish- either a chili dog or chili cheese fries, I can't remember which. She told me that if she let me order that it would use up too much of the vegetarian chili and she wouldn't do that so that others could still have it to. BUT IT WAS A MENU ITEM. I was there and ordering the food. She didn't even offer me any other options- it was like she didn't even want me to have any of the chili, like I was not worthy or something. I did end up getting a little bit of chili on something that "took less chili" after asking myself if I was "allowed" to order it on something else. I think it just really ruined the whole experience. This is years later but it is sadly a memory that I still think about and really all I can see now when I think about Mad Dogs which used to be a happy experience for us.

If you want a really good hotdog, you have so many choices. First I chose a Hebrew national hotdogs with sauerkraut and a slight amount of mustard. I also ordered a cream soda, which is not easy to get around here. It’s so New York. Ended with a black-and-white cookie oh my gosh, they get them directly from a bakery in New York. Best idea is to order an advance the services fantastic the price is right and it is just one wonderful experience. Those were my choices, but you could have a different ones. It just happened to be what I was craving that day.
Parking: Order on the right side drive around pick up your purchase on the left side and then you can eat outside under umbrellas or you can go into the parking lot by the movie theater. Seeing that it’s summer, I don’t recommend it for myself to eat under an umbrella because it’s still too hot, chose to take out and go home and really enjoy this awesome hotdog
Tried every vegan dog on the menu, you can't go wrong with any of the options! And the owner must have a giant brain to remember all the regular customers names!

Hotdog!! ? The rumors are true! Live in Punta Gorda but heard that Venice was the place to get a good dog. Can’t beat service and selection. Such friendly staff. Awesome selection to satisfy any craving. They offer steamed, grilled or fried. Loved the sauerkraut on the New Yorker and chili with cheese sauce on the coney. Definitely coming back to try some different varieties. You should check out the Mad Dogs!! ?
Parking: Parking right beyond the covered picnic tables.
Kid-friendliness: Outside eating so bring the whole fam

They have great hotdogs and fluffy, delicious gluten-free buns as well!!! The French fries are also gluten-free, and so far, I am feeling fine! These signature hotdogs are packed with toppings, too. Reasonably priced and the employees are really nice!
