I was just in here to get a sandwich for a late lunch. My total bill needed 2 pennies, which I did not have in my wallet. Rather than get 98 cents in change, I took 2 pennies out of what I thought was a "take a penny/leave a penny" basket that you see in lots of establishments. All I saw was pennies at the bottom of the basket. The lady behind the counter literally chased me to my car and told me not to take her tip money next time. Seriously! It was a completely honest mistake. And why didn't the lady at the register say something! I would NEVER take someone's tip money! I went back in and put 2 pennies from my car back in the basket. There was a sign, but it was near the bottom of the basket and you can't see it when standing at the register. They have lost a customer. I won't be back!

This is the place you have to try. They don't serve all bread sandwiches with a little meat. Exact opposite. If you go once, you'll be a regular.

Must say I was impressed, then horrified!! First let me say the staff was in the weeds and was handling the stress perfectly!! The issue I have is with the final step before payment, this young lady ages 25-40 she was not a kid! Her ppe IE. Food handling gloves had two fingers poking through then the topper would have to be her running her gloved hands through her hair and NOT changing her gloves before wrapping my sandwich!! I literally threw up in my mouth!!! I left with this sandwich as to not cause a scene.
Haven't been in 6 years and still remembers me! Definitely a must for anyone who loves subs

I grew up eating @ the obees in port Charlotte. The on in pc was family owned, very pleasant! Very kind people. Ever since they closed I was excited to pop into this obees and grab my favorite pressed Cuban. I walked in and the staff of about 7 that wasn’t helping the customers were all just standing there and giving us really weird looks. The lady in the camo hat especially. Not ONE of those staff memebers said hi! how are you? Welcome to obees!! Just WEIRD!!! With their Googlie eyes and mean mugs.We didn’t order and left.

My recommendation is to only go in and watch the sandwich being made the way you want it. I called in an order for pick up. I repeated what I wanted 3 xs because the person taking my order was not listening. Got my order home and it was wrong. The worst part about my wrong order was they put mustard on my sub. Directions were repeated as only oil & vinegar only -which was not on sub- no mayo- no mustard. I noticed they are adding less meat & prices have gone up. My favorite Saturday sub shop is now off my list. Sorry to say all of this. I know people make mistakes.
