There are many excellent seafood restaurants in the Venice & Sarasota area. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. The service was exceptional. The outdoor seating and view were lovely. The food was abysmal. The “gumbo” should not be called gumbo. It a terrible soup concoction that I would be embarrassed to label as gumbo. The crab & cheese dip tasted like a fake cheese dip you would get at a store. The rest of our food was flavorless and vastly disappointing. Do yourself a favor and google other seafood restaurants and try one of them.

Went to Pinchers with close friends for dinner to celebrate good or should I say Grear news from my doctor. As we were toasting each other for the great news our waitress Erica overheard us and asked what we were celebrating and I informed her I had received great news about a medical condition and she said congratulations. After we finished Erica came over and said she had talked to her bosses and they said desert was on her and her boss we said we were full and she said we can have it to go we said ok, the next thing that happened was Erica’s boss Antonio came over and said in todays world you don’t hear a lot of good things and he thanked us for coming in and said my dinner was on him. I couldn’t thank him enough. It brought a tear to my eye, who does that? I want to thank Erica and Antonio for their generosity and thoughtfulness. We go into Pinchers a couple of times a month and always get great service and the food is always fresh and tasty. The fresh cut fries are second to none. Had placed an order to pickup and got like 4 dinners and one of them was the king crab meal and the king crab was sour and I called to see if they could replace it and was told no that he could give me a discount next time I come in. Very unpleased. Spent a lot of money on that meal would like a new one.

My wife and I have been regulars at Pincher’s for a number of years. Yesterday we stopped for lunch. We both ordered our favorite, shrimp scampi. Everything went great until the bill came. $56 before gratuity. How awful! I feel sad as we both will not go back. There cannot be a reasonable excuse for robbery.
Service was excellent and good happy hour specials. The crab rangoon was tasty. Food was solid nothing over the top. Had a great table next to the water and saw lots of wild life!

Nice atmosphere. We had a very attentive waitress. I liked the 2 for 1 drinks, although mine was a bit too sweet. Most importantly the food was good. I had the oyster po boy and the oysters came out hot and tasty.

This place is super fun!! They have a call ahead that’s very accurate and easy to use. The service was great the atmosphere was super fun. The food was good but not amazing. We ate here with five kids and there was something for everyone. We would toally eat here again.

We had the grouper dip, conch fritters, cobia, mahi tacos and all were fantastic! Martin took excellent care of us! I haven't seen someone so on their game in a very long time . What a great experience,. If I am ever back in the area will definitely be stopping by for a bite.

I've been looking forward to Stone Crab now that it's in season. I remember getting some several years ago in Ft Myers and thought it was great. Having had ME lobster 2 weeks ago, it was disappointing. Not that it wasn't good, but it doesn't compare. I'll choose NE seafood every time.
