My wife, her girlfriend and I went to the Red Grouper Tavern for the first time tonight. What a nice treat. Jessica, our server, was wonderful. Super attentive. The girls had the Red Grouper and I had the shrimp and scallops. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend everyone try this place when they’re in town.

My first visit to this restaurant started off fantastic. Taylor was my server. She’s adorable and sweet and gave me amazing service. I ordered the lobster bisque, Caesar salad and key lime pie. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would have given 5 stars across the board until this very rude woman (who I found out is the owner) came over to my service dog and scowled at him asking “oh they let you bring a dog in here?” I told her what I told the hostess, he’s a service dog. She scowled at him and made a comment that “well he should be completely under the table”. He was under the table. Someone needs to give this Cheri some Midol. She should just let her amazing staff run her restaurant and keep her mouth shut instead of pissing off customer l’s who were having a great experience until she decided to stop by and ruin it.

I had an absolutely incredible lunch at The Red Grouper Tavern! The cold lobster roll was one of the best I’ve had in Florida—fresh and perfectly prepared. The grouper bites were delicious, and the hand-battered onion rings were crispy and golden perfection. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. The menu had plenty of intriguing options and our group loved everything we tried. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Venice and craving great seafood!

I was here from Ohio and had a great experience! 10 out of 10 recommend. I had the housemade shrimp burger that was melt in your mouth good and the old bay mayonnaise just topped it off. We met one of the owners who was very personable and was a joy to talk to. Our waitress was outstanding! The atmosphere was very nice, laid back and cozy.
We stopped after a day at the beach and loved the place. Good food and fun atmosphere. Eric the bartender took wonderful care of us. Jim, the owner, was on premises and greated us and many customers. Highly recommend!

My friend suggested we try out this restaurant today and it certainly was a good choice!
We had the fish (cod) and chips, the fish was nice and flaky with a lovely beer batter. Fries were great and the homemade coleslaw very nice. Topped it off with "real" key lime pie. A lovely experience and we will be returning.
