Friendly staff. Greeted immediately and with a smile! Sat us outside so we could enjoy the live music as well as our meal. My wife had the Grilled Peach Salad and I had the Grilled Shrimp. Delicious on both counts! Definitely recommend this place. Will eat here next time we visit the area.

Great little spot that I think is hidden back in the corner of the plaza by the Goodwill store. They have the best fresh gulf oysters in all of Venice. We have only tried the seafood, but it is super fresh at a reasonable price. They have live music and the most wonderful staff. Inside and outside dining and a jazz brunch on Sunday's. Give them a try - ask for Lexi :)

FULL DISCLAIMER! I never l leave reviews. But I ate here once and ordered to go. I was so excited to eat at this restaurant when it opened and was disappointed by the "crab" dip and my fish tacos when the only fish available was catfish. My son and I left there pretty nauseous. I decided to give the restaurant another chance and splurged on a low country boil delivered by Doordash. I ordered a pound of crawfish and a pound of snow crabs, with two of their sauces. Garlic wine and Cajun. First of all...the food was delivered with an extremely fishy, and rotten smell. Found out the pound of crab legs were bad, slimey and mushy. The crawfish weren't seasoned AT ALL! and the "sauces" were blander than a pair of socks. I ended up throwing the ENTIRE order away!Update: I've emailed who I thought was the owner per the request of the restaurant and no reply.

Walking into the aroma of fresh cooked seafood is reason one. Our waitress was great. The owner checked on us more than once to ensure our satisfaction.

Complete waste of money, Got the grouper fingers and they were barely even fried batter was soft, fish clearly old or not really grouper, the grits were old and sandy and didn't taste good at all, and the beignets was like biting and chewing on raw dough. Restaurant is big and nice but they need to work on the chef. Needless to say I won't be back.P.S. I sent you the email with info that you asked for.

A great spot for tasty New Orleans style food and a nice long list of beers! Don’t skip the egg rolls or boil!

Visited Shuck N' Ale for the first time tonight, but it definitely won't be the last! My family and I have traveled to New Orleans many times, and this place is spot on! AUTHENTIC! We dined on gator, shrimp, oysters, mussels, red beans and rice, and the Bourbon Street Boil. Everything was hot, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was very clean and well situated. We were greeted by a friendly staff and a personable server who offered menu suggestions and just the right amount of "face time". As we left, there was a musician performing on the heated outdoor patio. A great find that we're looking forward to visiting again and again!

This place is a gem! We sat on the patio, live music was great. Staff is friendly. The fresh oysters were fantastic! We also had the conch chowder , gumbo, shrimp and grits, megalodon garlic mussels, shrimp cocktail. All very tasty with a healthy serving size. Good beer selection. We will be dining here again.
