We went to Snook Haven for our anniversary dinner. We sat in the full service on accident and got yelled at by a server there. She embarrassed us to the point that I was almost in tears. I will never return.

This place is a total hidden gem. You'd never know it was back there, it's down this really cool narrow road that's got huge trees all along it. The place has this fun, rustic, old school charm to it. It's in a beautiful location along the river. You don't feel like your at a restaurant, it feels more like being at summer camp. It's hard to describe, you gotta check it out for yourself.

Snook Haven was recommended by a friend, so we decided to give it a try. This is definitely a hidden location off the beaten path while driving in. We even saw a Bobcat. The restaurant nestled way back in the woods on the Myakka River. What an awesome location , You have 2 options. You can eat inside and be served or order your meal and sit outside by live music, We ordered the cat fish dinner with homemade chips, 2 sides option, and collard greens and a smash cheese burger with home made chips and a side salid , Thay have a homemade tomato relish that is unreal, our server Katie D. Was very friendly and informative. One thing I did notice is the whole staff is working with a smile , definitely a hidden jem a must visit. I forgot to mention. We also ordered the peach cobbler and a monster size brownie.

Brisket should have been more tender and cut thinner and portions were too small. The staff is great and is why we will be back. Hope they receive the constructive criticism well. The river atmosphere is outstanding.
Perfect Place to Take People from Up North who Love The Wilderness and Haven't Experienced that in Venice Fl. Great Food, Great Service, Great Entertainment (if You're Lucky..check Calendar) and The Employees Are Wonderful.

I told my son and his family how old Florida it was to eat there. It was nice when I was there last. Last night, when my son went, it was a complete chit show from stopping at the desk to the time of ordering food. Don't waste your money or time. There are too many better other places to experience seafood and old Florida's type restaurants. I will never recommend this restaurant again. Very disappointing.

Came here with my family to visit from Kansas City, Was a wonderful atmosphere and service was wonderful. We had to try the bbq seeing how one of our family members is a chef at bbq restaurant back home. They went above and beyond and a huge shout out to Carl for taking such care of us and our bellies. 10/10 on live music, service, food, and scenery.
