We were surprised when the bill came, charging an upcharge restaurant sur charge . We never saw the alert posted anywhere in the restaurant nor on the menu. Additionally, the suggested percrntages for tips shown on the bottom indicates to tip AFTER tax. Why tip on a tax?We Will not be returning, nor will any neighbors or friends. There are other icecream shops and great pizza places nearby. Our lunch spot , which was very close, gave good food, fast attentive service and had no sur charges.

Place was very cool, a lot of sodas and ice cream to choose from and you can make any of them floats. Food and atmosphere were good except for sitting there forever. Servers seemed to be nice but definitely understaffed either in kitchen or out serving. Waited close to an hour for 2 slices of pizza and fries… I would have understood the wait time if we got burgers or something but pizza? Would hate to see it go down under due to bad staff

So busy that wait times were about one hour. Lasagna and club sandwich was delicious.

Old fashioned soda floats, hot dogs, sandwiches, subs and hamburgers are sold here. We had a great lunch after visiting Caspersen Beach and although service was slow we had a good time.

I visited this restaurant today, April 15th, between 2:00–3:00 pm. Regrettably, my experience was not the best due to the impolite and abrasive behavior of one of the staff members. She was a woman with bleached blonde hair and, if I remember correctly, tattoos on her arm.We entered and took a seat directly in front of her, where we waited for 20 minutes without any acknowledgment. There was no greeting, no indication that she would even assist us at all. This confused me, as there was no line and the restaurant was not very crowded either. I eventually politely asked about placing an order, to which she curtly replied, "I'm busy after I finish." Afterward, we waited another few minutes before managing to place our order, only to receive milkshakes that were filled halfway, maybe even less, which we paid full price for. We additionally made small talk with other customers and found out that we weren't the only ones taken aback by her rude demeanor. The wait wasn’t at all the problem, it was her attitude.Overall, the service fell far below expectations, and I would caution against visiting this establishment, at least until they get new staff. It's disheartening because, apart from the service, the venue seemed otherwise nice.

My boyfriend and I split a bacon cheeseburger and a slice of pizza (and yes, they really do have the biggest slice in town). It was delicious and our waitress was very nice.

Stopped in Saturday 3/16/24 for lunch after visiting Venice Beach. It looks like a unique, old-styled restaurant and we thought it would be fun. Waited 1.5 hours for our food (2 burgers and an order of chicken fingers). The burgers were SO dry they had to be doused in ketchup & mustard to get them down. Server was non-existent after taking order and dropping off food. Never came back but to provide bill.I thought maybe this was just a one off bad experience as the ratings were good. However, sitting behind us were a group of four girls that mentioned they had been waiting 1h 45m for their four small individual pizzas. Yikes.I would absolutely look for alternative locations to eat and pass on this one. Save yourself the frustration.

Perfect spot for something quick and easy. Ice cream is better than the food though.

As Venice residents we hoped to try this long time icon. Went in today with family. Stood in lobby for 10 minutes (no acknowledgment by any staff), left for another nearby restaurant with far better customer service. Ended up going back for Ice cream several hours later. Only 4 customers in restaurant. Yep staff members never acknowledged our presence. 0-2.

This is absolutely the worst place for service in the entire city of Venice. Staff never greets you…you wait and wait. Good takes forever. Horrible!!!!
