TJ Carneys always is a fun time. They have great bands that play and on any given day there is a mixed crowd. We usually go at night (after 10) since this location is one of the few places that serve a full liquor bar in Venice Ave. Service is great, food is great. Definitely recommend checking it out

First time I dined indoors there because outdoor seating was full and was with 3 others. Took forever for one man in our party to get his beer. Ridiculously long wait for it. Also, first time I wasn't able to get honey for my ribs. Ribs were very good even without, but the fact they've always accommodated my odd taste was the reason we chose to dine there yesterday. 3 of us got fries with our meals. This time, the portion of fries was laughable. Maybe 9 fries each? I should have counted them. Requested more and finally got them as I was eating the last few ribs. Never had to think of rationing fries with a meal before. One friend who ordered a salad found it horrible. She was the only one who actually lives nearby and frequents the place. Trying to get a refill on tea took her getting up and chasing down the server. They claim they were overwhelmed by the Shark's Tooth Festival crowd, but I normally eat there on days they have Craft/Art Fairs, so the excuse didn't hold water for me. I'll be trying a different restaurant next time!

Great location, poor service. Waiter wasn't very attentive, we kept trying to flag him down and he would ignore us. They had a very small limited menu with options that weren't that great. The food we did get was subpar at best. My Tuna was completely covered in seasoning and overly spicy sauce to the point of making the fish wet and inedible. The chicken on our sandwich was almost burnt, and the cheese ontop of the soup had to be peeled away because it was so rubbery. Other customers that sat down after us got their food almost 20 minutes before we did. We paid $75 for 2 people and it was not worth it. Won't be eating there again.

Fish tacos, potato skins and burgers were all great. Dogs welcome outside if they stay on the ground. Servers brought out a water bowl and wanted to meet our pup. Very sweet atmosphere!
