Our 4th time at Banyon for dinner. 6 pm reservations on a Friday. As we walked in the night crowd had yet to arrive. We were seated in the back from in a booth with a lake view just as the sun was going down. A nice view, but you need to hide the direct sunlight until the sun fully departs. Sangria was decent and my spouse had a cocktail she also seemed to enjoy. Our server Aisha was prompt and attentive throughout dinner. Lobster fritters was an appetizer, about 5 of ample size...
Our waitress was superb and very attentive. The Banyan House does not offer a corking charge which is disappointing given all area restaurants offer one. Villani's right across the street has a $15 corking fee as do all area higher end restaurants. My friend and I ordered the pasta bolognese which is one of their signature menu items. The bolognese sauce was hard to find making the pasta very dry, absent much needed flavor! The Caesar salad was very good once we added extra...
Nice place, food was pretty good but not great. Service and atmosphere was great. I would probably go back for appetizers and drinks. Our dinners were good but a little pricey for the quality and taste.
