My friend whose been here before suggested that we go for our girl’s night out. I’m hlad we did. What a fun atmosphere and the owner is wonderful and conversational. The food choices are good ol back in the day comfort faborites. Turkey Tetrazinni, Shepherds pie, Chicken corfon blue, stuffed sweet peppers .Alot of the dishes if not all are made to order. I had the chicken enchiladas and my friend had the stuffed peppers. Both excellent plates. They had 3 featured wines that evening. The owner suggested the most affordable one( could have been the opposite) It was excellent and they had a special, second bottle 1/2 off if we wanted.A great visit, I really enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and my company. We were able to stay past closing and chat while they were cleaning. This is a very popular restaurant. Not sure if its wise to go without a reservation, They open at 4:30 and last seating is 8 pm .

Hunny and I just came back from eating at The Living Room Venice. The food was incredible, every bite brought me back to when I was a kid. The service was wonderful. Thank you so much! We will be back!

Good all American home cooking in very large portions. Plenty of leftovers for a second meal. I really liked the meatloaf.

We had been wanting to go here for a while and finally last night on a Tuesday we went here for dinner. They have a great bar but do not have a liquor license, only beer and wine. The decor is tacky and outdated with numerous things on the walls and things hanging from the ceiling. The bbq pork dish with baked beans and potatoes topped with cheese was good for $17 but I didn’t see or taste any pork or any other meat. The stuffed peppers were great. The tuna noodle casserole was good. The service was outstanding. I don’t believe I would recommend the living room and we don’t plan to go back.

Great comfort food. Even though the wife didn't like the Chicken Pot Pie. She said it had little flavor and want a fan of the tater tots as a crust on top. Service is friendly and atmosphere is very quaint. Recommend.

My brother-in-law and I were eager to try the LIving Room. Now we know. The help was pleasant if prone to mistakes in the restaurant's favor (charged full price for happy hour drinks, forgot to bring our pretzels and beer cheese with out drinks, although it did eventually show up) and the restaurant itself is comfortable. The food. Yes, the portions are big. Huge, even. It is never been my view however that quantity trumps quality, and in the Living Room the quality just isn't there. Salads came with bottled dressing on the side. My pasta dish could have served two people whose idea of tomato sauce is diluted condensed tomato sauce. Bland to the point of tasteless. My sister took one bite of her chicken enchilada and was done. Even my brother-in-law, who happily eats anything, was less than impressed with his enchilada bake. Again, the food was served hot and in copious portions. But as somebody who grew up prior to the culinary revolution that swept across these United States, I can tell you that even the most inept '50s housewife could have--and would have--done better than this. The food is uniformly heavy, particularly heavy on the starch, and not made with top-notch ingredients. Home cooking? Maybe, but good home cooking is delicious and nutritious. This was neither.
