You will love it here!! It shares a space with our wonderful small yet mighty airport. You can watch an array of the locals planes land while you eat. I recommend waiting for a window seat if it's your first visit. The owners and staff are lovely. It feels like you're at home and in a diner at the same time. The food is delicious as well. This is a gem of Vero Beach, definitely visit! Everyone loves to come here. My photos are from over the course of several visits. We have never had one bad experience and the servers are always nice. They work hard. I have a hard time with one negative reviewer saying she's a good looking lady but didn't get kind service for a cup of coffee probably during a busy time-I think her own statement says enough. And the not sure what the hype is about but you didn't even get to sit bc it was so busy... You can't rate a restaurant you never ate at. The sit down experience there are 10 booths near the window where you can see the planes. It's like prime real estate if you don't want a line don't come during peak time. I never ever do. I like a peaceful experience. So there is a tip for those 2 reviews that gave 1 star. That's just like disregard them.

We had such a wonderful experience at this local gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed — exactly what you hope for when going out to enjoy a great meal.
The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted like it was made with real care and quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.
But what truly made the night special was our server, April. She was attentive without hovering, friendly without being overbearing, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, she kept everything running smoothly, and she made us feel genuinely taken care of. Excellent service like that turns a good dinner into a memorable one.
We will absolutely be back and will definitely ask for April again. Highly recommend!

We went on a weekend, it was pretty busy.

I love CJ Cannon’s owners and staff! Enjoyable place to dine, interesting decor, relaxed atmosphere, large/varied menu, food tastes great, big portions, reasonable prices, accommodating. I keep going back!

Been coming here for over 25 years! Love the owners - and the bartender! And, they have the best liver and onions in the country! Thanks!

April our server was wonderful and made great suggestions, most notably the homemade ranch dressing for our fries!

The bartender at night wouldn’t let us sit at the bar we wanted to because he said seats were reserved! He has done this to us before and I have heard several people complain for the same reason! We go there all the time and will not be coming back because of him. You are losing us for good, this was the lady draw.
My husband enjoyed the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans.... enough for 2 meals!
I had the coconut fried shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and mashed potatoes.... excellent!
Our server was wonderful and a happy soul.
Even though we were seated at a window there was no view of the runway and only a partial view of a plane. Rather disappointing for a restaurant at the airport!

Great little spot to eat before or after your flight. I'd eat there if i lived in the neighborhood too.
I had a turkey club and fries. It was a large portion and all components were solidly good. My partner had the potato salad as a side. Commercial. Stick with fries. Other diners had burgers which looked good

We’ve lived in Vero for 11 years and have eaten at CJ Cannon’s many times. The food has always been good and the staff has generally been pleasant, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
On Friday, the owner approached my 26 year old son in the lobby and spoke to him in a rude, condescending manner, asking if he “knew how to read” and referencing the restroom signage — even though he had not used the restroom, was not planning on using it, and was nowhere near it. The interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional.
We chose to eat elsewhere and unfortunately won’t be returning. With so many great lunch options in the area, it’s not worth being treated that way. If that’s how customers are spoken to, the restaurant’s future will eventually take care of itself.

Airport restaurant. If you like watching takeoffs and landings, this is the place to be. Cessna factory on site so lots of planes to look at. Food is good but a little pricey.
Food is great but the menu is wayyy too big! Simplify it! 😊
