This is one of my favorite places for lunch/dinner. The food is amazingly fresh, the menu is creative and everything they offer is customizable. You can even build what you want from scratch. They prep sauces and make a few things (same day) ready so that that service is fast as well. The staff is knowledgeable and experienced. Once you order at the counter, and watch your meal be prepared, you can choose your booth or table. If you want full-service you can sit at the bar. There is a casual, fun vibe. Quiet enough to talk but lively enough to feel like you are out to eat.

I don't have time for a fully worded out review but this place is a not so hidden gem that I just hadn't been to yet in all my time in Indian River.
Seems like a great spot for both weeknight dinner, happy hour, and most likely sporting events as well. Beautiful patio with space and shade, as well as a massive rectangular main bar indoors, with coastal evening chique decor.
Generously poured and well priced drinks - I'll be back for them wings too!

Even McDonald's will bring you your food. Here it's like pulling teath, yet they want a tip. 2 meals, they came out at different times because the cooks thought their conversation was more important. Don't believe I'll be back

Well, I have to say after visiting every Thursday, for smash burgers, we had a different experience tonight..
For reference, we usually frequent this establishment 5-6 times a month, not including their sister location.
We usually have amazing bartenders in Briana and Tanya!
Tonight was not the case...
Tonight we arrived at 5:50, and got a seat right away at the bar. We sat there for 10 minutes being ignored. It wasn't until we were walking out did the bartender, Nick, greet us. He said "How are y'all doing?
Those of you who know my husband, who never complains about anything, said "We were good 10 minutes ago, but you never acknowledged us.
We left and won't be back..

My lunch experience today was such a surprising treat! The margarita was the best I’ve had in Vero & only $4.99.
The menu is amazing! Fresh salads and seafood, tacos, caprese BLT’s… it was hard to chose! I had the Korean beef salad & swordfish bits that I shared with a friend.
Mark, the manager came to our table and was so friendly & informed us of Chives daily specials. Wow! 6 out of 5 stars. The staff really takes pride in what they do and it shows. Can’t wait to go back for a smash burger 🍔 ✌️

We came here for the first time today. We had the smash burger, grandma’s chili, and potato salad. Everything was really good. The best part of our experience was our bartender, Brianna. She told us about the sister restaurants and we will definitely be visiting those too.
My dad and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. I had steak on rice and beans and he had swordfish — I forgot the exact names of the dishes. We enjoyed our meal.
He uses a walker, and so it was not easy for him to climb into the high top tables or the booths as they have a step up, so we sat at a regular table next to the bar, which was a bit more noisy and tight, but definitely acceptable.

I had a pleasant experience at Chive. My favorite part was interacting with the friendly and attentive staff.
I ordered a burger on their Thursday 4-7pm $10 smashburger and fries special. The burger was good enough and the fries were hot and fresh, seasoned with salt and pepper. My bun was soft and the meat was cooked to my desired doneness. I loved that my grilled onions were grilled into the burger. Unfortunately, my lettuce and tomato looked more like a soggy chopped salad, instead of a nice big slice and a few larger leaves of lettuce.
I would definitely return to this establishment to try something else on the menu.
The manager told me they get fresh seafood delivered regularly so maybe that is what I will try next.

Try it yourself!! Every one has to form a opinion. My opinion is that the food is incredible and service is better than any place you will visit in Vero Beach. Happy hour!! I will not give my opinion. I want to hear from others. Tacos and drinks and last atmosphere!! Vero has great people and fantastic food. Locals are nice. I'm from ft Lauderdale.

A first-time visit to Chive. I will definitely return. Owner Lou and his staff were very kind and patient in explaining the dining concept and answering any questions. The swordfish was tender and flavorful and the Korean beef tacos were a good size portion with fresh ingredients.
