Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I decided to give Cracker Barrel one more try. Went to the one in Vero Beach. I have to be honest, it was excellent. No wait. Waitstaff, especially Sherice, went above and beyond ensuring we got our drinks and order on time. She checked back frequently to make sure all was good. Friendly and just what I remember. I have some suggestions but will be sharing them with HQ. What became blatantly apparent to me was the CEO who suggested the updates could not have asked the employees their opinion on how it could be made better. Just sitting there eating for about an hour it became clear where the changes needed to be. Just some updates to keep the Cracker Barrel vibe would have been just fine. I am sending my detailed suggestions to the right people because it's clear the things that needed updating. The memorabilia and the logo were not those things. Food was still reasonable, decent, and staff was friendly. My mom even bought a few things in the gift shop and said she missed going there. She was afraid it had already been remodeled and she's been a fan since the year they opened up the restaurants. What a pleasant surprise to see the old logo and the Cracker Barrel hospitality still in place. I feel that they will be listening to the customers and the employees this time. Just make it go from good to great. It seems like it would have been easy to do.

The food is great, I like shopping around the store while we wait for a table.

i would give this store a negative 5 review if possible. beyond that, seems this chain is more focused on offending people than what folks actually come there for, food. very disappointing food, quality and portions. and you will pay more for less, avoid, youll be thankful you did.

Well i came in about 6:10 pm for a nice dinner with my aunt and uncle and brother and wife and first we requested a bigger table and were denied because there were no 5 people tables open supposedly. Five minutes later we gave food and drink orders and there began out interesting experience. About 7:05 we all noticed that people who came in after us were being served and we were still waiting. About this time our waitress came back asking if we needed any drink refills and I told her I needed a sweet tea and a few minutes later she came back with the food and no drink. So I waited until they had dispensed the food and tried to ask for more tea but the waitress got away without me reminding her of the drink she had forgotten. After another half hour we were done with our food and looking for boxes and the check and we waited another 10 or so minutes for her to come back and my family asked for the boxes and the check and we got them and left. My over all experience wasn't thar great. Poor service food that took way way way too long idk if I've ever waited for an hr or more for food and served so poorly. I don't remember her name but she definitely needs further training. Food was great atmosphere was warm but service was very lacking.
