Because our first experience was so good, we went back for dinner tonight. Our server Caitlin was a delight, she was attentive, polite and checked in on us through our meal.We skipped the starter as we knew the bread would fill us up. We were given a pasta soup compliments of the chef which was very very good. I had Risotto Du Mare for my main course which was fabulous… the risotto was perfectly cooked with a subtle lobster undertone. There was more than enough seafood with the dish and I couldn’t eat it all so gave some of the lobster to my husband. My husband had the filet minion medium rare which was perfectly cooked. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The chef stopped by to ask if we enjoyed our meal which I thought was a nice touch. I can honestly say that both our meals at this restaurant were the best we have had in Vero Beach. We were too full for a dessert so I can’t comment on those.I would highly recommend a visit!Outstanding service and excellent food. We will be back.

We tried this restaurant last night and was disappointed, along with our surrounding tables. By the way the owner reacts to reviews and the way the wait staff reacted to our complaints, it's clear they don't believe they need to improve. The waiter got several of our orders wrong, the food took nearly 2 hours to arrive to our table and every table around us was complaining of the wait time and to respond, the wait staff would bring out "complimentary soup" to tide them over. Our table of 6 was not offered any soup. Even drinks took almost 30 minutes to arrive to our table. When the food finally arrived it was lack luster. Not worth the high price tag. Very disappointed. We ended up door dashing dessert because we were wanting something more but not wanting to wait any longer.

After having dined at numerous restaurants in Vero Beach, across the country, and around the world, I can confidently say that my recent experience at Chez Frenchies was by far the worst I've encountered. The food was subpar to say the least, and even the simplest drinks were beyond their capabilities. I would rather go back and eat at a DFAC in Bagram, Afghanistan than set foot in Chez Frenchies again. I deeply regret choosing this establishment for my birthday celebration and apologize profusely to my family for subjecting them to such a disappointing experience, especially considering they footed the bill. We waited nearly 30 minutes in between drinks, the food took nearly an hour and a half to be served and the complementary soup was no compliment. My wife, a cheerful and open minded woman, said after multiple drinks being sent back to the bar and over an hour into waiting for our food that enough was enough, she asked the waitress for our check and offered that we pay for what we had been served at this point, unfortunately that’s when the food started to arrive. The Wagyu appetizer had lards of fat hanging off of it with the appearance of a microwaved New York strip. Everything was drowning in butter and to say it was slightly over-seasoned would slightly be an understatement. We stomached what we could have “which we are all currently regretting” and were as polite as possible when telling the waitress that our experience was less than satisfying. While we were outside saying our farewells to each other, another large group emerged with the same feeling of regret after having endured the same torture from within.I’m no “foodie” nor have I ever posted a single review in my life, but the best part about this experience for me is being able to say farewell to Chez Frenchies. Never again!I’ve had many Woodford manhattans in my time, but never one so watered down and bland.

After waiting over one hour for our pricy dinners to finally arrive, the salmon was overcooked and cold. My medium sirloin steak was raw and cold. After complaining, BOTH our server and the manager were argumentative and extremely rude. The final straw was when our server presented a “had written” and “hand calculated” bill that was exactly $40 too much. Stay away from this place! We have spoken with the owner and cleared up any issues.

I am appalled by the responses from the owner/management. The rudeness is abrasive and very unprofessional.

The food was terrible. I don't mind paying the high price they were asking, if the food was good. But it was not. The only thing nice was the bartender. Should have known, when I could get a last minute reservation. Do your self a favor and learn from my costly mistake, don't go here.

The food was OK and expensive for what it was. See picture…. $46 for drab soggy fries and measly carrots to accompany what was a good beef filet and sauce… they can and should do a lot better. The waiter was simply lost, lost, lost. Came back 3 separate times to announce they were out of the next wine by the glass.
